In Siman 1 Seif 3 it says: "יהודה בן תימא אומר, הוי עז כנמר וקל כנשר,
רץ כצבי וגבור כארי" (Yehuda ben Teima says, "you should be bold like a
leopard, light like an eagle, run like a deer, and strong like a
lion.")
But something doesn't fit well here. Bishlomo (I understand) עז, קל,
and גיבור are all adjectives. But רץ is certainly a verb. Shouldn't it
say something like "מהיר כצבי"? I noticed in Rabbi Davis's Metzuda
translation he says "swift like a deer", but this is a deviation from
the literal translation.
Any comments?
Thanks a lot
