I am so sad to be posting this :( We are going on vacation and I had
a friend lined up to stay at our place and watch Floyd while we are
going but he called yesterday and has been called back to work in
Aberdeen, Scotland and isn't available. So it looks like we need to
board Floyd, does anyone have any reccomendations for a nice, loving
place to board him?

We've used Viking kennels & Alder Creek pet lodge & didn't hate either, but didn't love them either.  Kodos came back pretty stinky from both places.  (Viking also does grooming, so you can opt to get him prettied up right before pickup--we didn't do that & maybe should have).  We've since struck up an arrangement w/a neighbor whereby we look after her pooch when she's out of town & vice versa.  Much preferable--both expense & experience-wise.

(Laurel said I should tell you to just release Floyd in our neighbor's yard & she'll think he's Kodos & take care of him, LOL.)

But you could likely do worse than either place.

How long do you need him looked after?

Cheers,

-Roy

If you have a safe place he can be when no-one is there, and you won’t be gone too long, you might consider Jan and Karen at Karen’s Pet Service (http://petnany.com/ (yes, that’s the correct spelling)).

We’ve been fortunate the last year or so to have a friend (whom we pay) to dog & house sit for use, but before that we used the Pet Nanny for years and I would use them again in a minute. They’ll come as many times a day as you want (you pay per visit) to feed, walk, play, pick up mail/papers, water plants, etc. as requested.

We love Judith Belle.

We did our therapy dog test with her and she was great. We haven't boarded there, but it looks nice and it's where we would go.
