Dear Snowflake Customer,
Snowflake is sending you this important message regarding an upcoming behavior change that may impact your account. Please read below for more details:
This email is to inform you that support for SnowSQL v1.3.x will officially end on May 02, 2026. To ensure your command-line access to Snowflake remains secure and supported, you will need to upgrade your client before this date.
As part of our standard product lifecycle process, all Snowflake clients have planned end-of-support dates. For current versions of SnowSQL, the dates are as follows:
To continue using SnowSQL without interruption, we recommend upgrading to the latest version.
For users interested in more advanced, developer-focused capabilities, you may also want to explore the Snowflake CLI. It is a modern, open-source tool designed for a wider range of workloads, including support for dbt projects, Streamlit in Snowflake, and Snowpark Container Services. See the Snowflake documentation linked to learn more about its features and functionality.
Please Note: Versions 1.3.3 and later require at least glibc version 2.25 on Linux, which might not be available on older operating systems, such as RHEL7. Consult your operating system documentation to confirm it supports glibc version 2.25 or later. If not, please check with your OS administrator before upgrading SnowSQL.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your account team.
Thank you for being a valued Snowflake customer.
Sincerely,
Snowflake Global Technical Support
