Hi,

Is there a way to "continue search on the server" within mail?  It looks like you are search mail retrieved vs all mail in gmail.  Let me know if I'm missing something.

Thank you

Todd

Hi Todd,

Search actually does hit the server, but only shows the cross reference to items already local.  A slight derivative of what you are requesting is a great feature, I will file an improvement request for it now and try to get it into the next build.  Basically, if the email is on the server and not local, to pull it local as part of the search.

In the mean time, you can change what is stored locally via KiteDesk Settings.  You can mark as much of your mail as you want to be stored locally.  I mark mine as everything, to pull down all my messages.  I get that this might not be ideal for you, but until I get that feature in, it might be the best option for your.

Thanks for getting back to me.  I tried the local mail option on my chromebook and it is still loading...  I will try pulling down all mail on the desktop.  Any eta on the enterprise edition?  I would like to try the app with multiple accounts.

Thank you

Todd

Todd,

I wanted to make sure I understood you question.

Are you asking about using KiteDesk with multiple accounts within your domain, or are you asking about adding multiple gmail accounts to a single KiteDesk account.

You should be able to do either today, but let me know if I misunderstood your question.

Thanks,
Jack

Hi Jack,

I think I got an error when I tried to add another account.  I will try again.

Todd,

Thanks for the details.  We do have a known issue right now that we are working on where if you connect to KiteDesk directly using a specific account, and then you later attempt to join that account to another account that you have setup in KiteDesk separately, that you may experience an issue.

If you do still receive an error please let me know which two accounts you are attempting to "join" and we will correct the issue.

Thanks,
Jack

Hi Jack/Jared,

Ok, to clarify, if I have two gmail accounts, I should be able to see both accounts in the left pane, then have an option to view the consolidated items in the kitedesk folder.  Meaning, if I click on mail under the kitedesk folder, I will see mail from both gmail accounts.  Is that right?  Also, beyond gmail, I'm looking for the other account types, facebook, linkedin, etc.

Thank you

Todd

Hi Todd,

I just finished checking in the fix for mail searching to retrieve messages not stored locally.  KiteDesk will quickly return with any local matches and inform you that it is pulling matches from the server for messages not stored locally.  You get a message like ' found XX of XX messages, retrieving additional records from the server."

This will be in our build next week.

Just as an FYI - when Google released Drive earlier this week they changed some things in their API without bothering to inform developers, so some file usage stuff might not be functioning as expected.  We should have this all corrected in our build next week also.
