Winter Destination

Hey all, I hope this dry and warm season is treating you all well! I wondered if anyone’s been out on the water with Boise being as warm as it has lately!!!

Trying to lock down a spot to go for a family vaca and get some kiting in and I’ve bounced around looking at lots of different spots but for one reason or another they don’t fit the bill. I’m now honing back into Dominican Republic as Las Tarrenas was awesome and thought about going up to Cabarete and checking out that area. Not crazy to get there, not crazy accommodation rates, decent options for if the wind is not great, etc.

Couple of questions though. Seemed like some folks had some recommendations for places to stay, do’s and don’ts for the area the first time we went to the DR. Wondering if I can dig those back up from ya’ll?

Are there other places that fit the bill like DR that maybe I’m missing? Looked at Grand Cayman, Bahamas, Caribbean, and accommodations seem to be $$$!!! Then I look at places like La Ventana and the kiting is on point but I worry about the kids (6 and 3) and doing stuff with them on off days.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.
