Hi all,

This Saturday, Lucky Peak access will be closed for the Boise Ironman 70.3.
NOTE: the view point will also be closed.

The following are my guesses for the next six days.
Fri: morning wind should still be on... probably not as good as today.. access through Turner
Sat: probably enough wind to foil... BUT access is closed due to Boise Ironman 70.3
Sun: probably enough wind to foil with big gear... Barclay beach will be open
Mon-Wed: morning wind will be good.

NOTE: Launch access is through Turner boat ramp.  Another option is via Middle Cove which Eddy has been doing yesterday and today.

Best regards,
Chris Lee.

How was launching from Turner this morning? I couldn't make it, but was thinking about tomorrow if it looks good (unfortunately, I still don't foil, so my definition of 'good' is more exacting. Really gotta learn foiling at some point!)

Looks like the unsettled air and clouds will be affecting the morning wind for the next couple mornings (Mon & Tue).
Wednesday will probably be the best of next three days.

Best regards,

Going out isn’t too bad.. just walked to the end of the dock and stepped on the board then slogged out to the wind.  Once out in the wind, I was on the 5.0 pretty much on foil the whole time (but was a little holey from time to time).  Coming back is terrible though, had to swim about 50 yards or so today as the wind shadow is terrible and then you get weird like puffs coming out of the small draw to the east of the docks.  Yesterday I was able to slog all the way back in though and  just sat down on the dock.  Murray was out fin-surfing this morning on his 6.0 and seemed to be doing fine.

Chris N.

I was up there this morning fishing and the iron man event stuff is cleared out.

I’m watching tomorrow morning. I think there’s a chance.

I was out on my wind foil board with 5.2 Flyer FR. I was technical-sailing this morning.  I only foiled out twice during the peak gusts and slogged twice during the 8:30 lull and the 9:15 shut-off time.

Hoping Tuesday will improve in terms of wind quality.  Unfortunately, clouds and chances of thunderstorms are still there.
Unsettled weather may linger through Tuesday night.
It's a toss-up between Wednesday and Thursday for the better wind day to wrap up July.
I'm still leaning toward Wednesday...

Thanks to all that write about their days sailing.  I am in Minnesota last week and this at the family lake cabin.  Wind is normally poor unless a storm comes up.  I’ve been wind foiling twice but not for long.  Can’t wait to get home to lucky peak.
