Storing Veggies
Make sure your vegetables are quite dry before
storing. Vegetables that are damp or wet will spoil more quickly than dry
vegetables.
Line the bottom of you vegetable compartment with
paper towels or place a few dry sponges in with the vegetables. Either will
absorb excess moisture and keep vegetables fresh.
To preserve your garden-fresh herbs, wash quite a
chunk of leaves, put them in a little mini food processor and puree them with a
tad bit of water. Then put the herb puree into an ice cube tray and freeze. When
you need it for a meal, just pop out a cube and toss it in the pot and let it
melt! The large cube measures out to about a Tbsp.

Ants! Ants, ants, ants everywhere
...Well, they are said to never cross a chalk line. So get your chalk out and
draw a line on the floor or wherever ants tend to
march.
