Errr its probable I already have 50% of homepage links and
descriptions of the software you are using.....

I have my own Pendrive Portable install, but I am still doing the
licence checking. The server version of the apps are ready though. The
website and the download should give you some idea of what I'm heading
for - you seem to be going the same way - need a hand chaps?

Thorvald1k,

Tracking down all those licenses started out as kind of a challenge and then just became tedious after about 50 or so.  Development hasn't stopped -- I've gone a different direction in the meantime with a program called SlickRun to create a *lengthy* config set and get away from the current menu system, as well as some other tweaks.

If you'd be willing to help me with the licensing part, that would be stellar.  I already used much of that list to update license info on portablefreeware.com so there's more than one reason for someone to work on that.

Either way, good luck with your project and thanks for posting.

List members:

A version of the Kitchen Sink is nearing completion as components I've been working on near completion.  I will probably post it sometime next week if anyone is still interested.  Because of licensing issues I'm likely going to leave out several packages from PortableApps that users will need to install themselves, but that will be pretty easy to put back.

Licensing update:

Over the last few weeks I've been updating Portablefreeware.com's database to better determine which of the applications listed as Open Source are GPL'd.  Gradually that spread out into other licenses and so far I've changed around 30 or so entries.

Hopefully the Kitchen Sink will advance along with this process.  I'm a big open source fan and the whole license experience has given me a real love for the GPL especially.  I'd like to set up an open-license software site or blog sometime down the road.
