Dear Team,
A very good afternoon to you all!
It is my hope that all is well with each one of you; even as we near the close of this Fiscal Year 2014. I'm certain that while your desks are full at this period of the year, every team member is doing their best to meet their own set targets. I salute you all for coming this far; and urge you to exceed expectations!
While we are engaged in this important work, I want to take this opportunity to inform you that today March 28, 2014 marks the end of my sitting in Kisumu Regional Office as has been my work station to-date. I have since been transferred to Nairobi (National Office) as my new work station effective next Monday March 31, 2014.
Allow me to clarify that as of now, this is only a re-location of work station and therefore I continue to execute all the functions of my current office from my new desk at NO. Should there be any changes (additional/new responsibilities) accompanying this re-location, then such will only be communicated by an office of competent jurisdiction and at the right time.
Therefore team, let's keep progressively working together and make Western Region a better place for children to live! So, far I can confirm to you that we have done very well on many fronts; yet we have a splendid opportunity to learn and do a more fabulous work in the time a head of us. All we need is commitment to our collective course and the support of each one of us. Kindly let us be a team!
As my direct/physical interaction with colleagues in Kisumu Program Area; and in particular Kisumu Cluster/Regional Office gets slimmer, I cannot fail to recognize the very profound positive impact this wonderful team has contributed to my overall life. They have been my most immediate source of support in many circumstances of my work; helping me reach out to staff in other area offices; providing me with a platform for learning when I need immediate face-to-face/hands-on experience with field teams, managing my numerous travels, responding to and accommodating my official demands even when they seem unrealistic at times, believing in and walking with me towards better ways and high levels of executing business even when they seem too rigid/unfriendly, and just making sure everyone is comfortable while in the office; etc, etc, etc... To the AM, AFAO, SRC, Asst. Procurement Officer, all POs, SROs, SRAs and all site based staff; this mail recognizes your very special efforts towards my office. And to Loyce, Rosemary, Roselyn, Okello, Ochieng, George and Billy; many thanks particularly for effectively playing the facilitative role to my work while stationed in Kisumu. You fitted quite well into my ever changing itinerary. Thank you all most sincerely for the wonderful support. I am a true beneficiary of your kind helping hands; and I will fondly miss your warm presence!
To the entire team, nothing much changes as I look forward to our usual engagement come next week. Remember; the "Local Partnership Initiative" is only recently born and alive; and the requirements of the new LOA are explicit and are here with us. It will no doubt provide a great opportunity for our onward engagement. Let's all work towards realizing its benefits for the good of the communities that we serve.
All the best and do have a blessed weekend!
Regards,
Erick
