I finally got my heated bed installed, so I started a test print.  The printed part was slightly larger than it should have been.  Is there a way to scale the print so I can compensate for the overlarge print?  I could make adjustments in the .STL file, but that is a lot of work that would have to be done for every print.  Right now the prints are just too large to use without filing/sanding.

I'm using the Cubex Duo, KiSSlicer and CubeItMod.

Thanks.

Do you use the calibration cube ?
If yes how much do you set :
- Extrusion widht
- Layer thickness
- Inset Surface
- Flow tweak
- Main temperature extrusion

No, I don't know what and where the calibration cube is.  Time to do some research...

I read the procedure and it makes little sense. For example. I have no idea what a 5-sided cube is.  I thought all cubes had six sides.  Is there any documentation that fleshes out the procedure?  I'm new to this forum and I'm finding the learning curve is quite steep.  Without access to the previous forum, I'm at a loss to figure this out.

You can scale the model by whatever factor you want, but this will only hide the real problems. You should have calibrated first all the moving axes, then go to extruder calibration and only when you are 100% sure everything is okay scale your model.
If ever scaling to make model the right size, you should make them bigger according to the material shrikage you are using.

Getting closer.  I now know the "what".  I need to calibrate my printer.  Will someone please explain the "how".  Please remember that I am new to this forum, so I don't have the information that some of you take for granted.

Thanks.

First install the last CubeItMod V4.0Beta4 and copy the settings I've posted into the same tread.

Load the CalibrationBox into kisslicer.

If you're not using original Cubex cartridges, you have to mesure the diameter of the filament, make more mesuraments in different points, an make the average.
Put that average value into Material ->Diameter [mm]

If you're not using ABS you also have to change the temperatures and then save the new material with another name.

Now go to Printer ->Extruder Materials and select into the extruder you want to use the material you want to use. The default object Ext must be the Extruder you want to use for the piece.

Now go to Style and set Number of Loops = 1 , infill : Vase

You're rady to go, slice and print.

When finished measure the walls, if the average is 0.5 and the walls are good without small holes you're ok .
If you measure less then 0.5 or you have small holes increase Material->FlowTweak for the material aou have used and make another test.
If you measure more than 0.5 decrease Material->FlowTweak for the material aou have used and make another test.
When you're OK you have the right settings for that material and that layer thickness.

Repeat the procedure for other materials or other thickness.

This is going to be harder than I had hoped.  I followed your directions and it blew up!  (Not literally!)

I'm using KiSSlicer v1.1.0.14 and CubeItMod V4.0Beta4.  I load CalibrationBox.stl and slice successfully.  However, when I click Save, I get the error "Failed, returning 1".

I backed up everything and cleared the folder out.  I reinstalled KiSSlicer and CubeItMod.  I configured per your instructions.  I did nothing else.  When I try to save, I get the same error.  Any idea what's wrong?

You get error "Failed, returning 1" when Kisslicer cant find CubeItMod.

Did you rename CubeItMod.exx to CubeItMod.exe ?

Is CubeItMod.exe into the Kisslicer's directory?

do you set the post processor like this ?

I verified that all the settings in KiSSlicer are correct and that CubeItMod.exe is named correctly and in the correct location.  I discovered that I get the failure if I start KiSSlicer from a desktop icon but not if I navigate to the KiSSlicer folder and run it from there.  Even though the properties for the icon are correct, there appears to be a path issue.  No worries there.  I'll write a script that navigates to the folder and starts KiSSlicer locally.  I think KiSSlicer is getting confused since the .stl file is on the desktop.  Anyway, whatever the cause, I can work around it.  @#$%& Windows 8.1!

Today I has the same trouble, click with the right mouse button each .INI files, go to properties and click "Unlock". That's happen why Win can not write the files.
