Hi

I'm getting lumpy first layer with 1.1.0, here's what it looks like:

same with ABS and PLA, no such problem with slic3r. Manually reducing flow to 70% somewhat helps.

Any ideas how to fix it?

Topic about this problem on reprap forum:

thanks

Sometimes it happens to me with PLA and heated bed, where PLA is still soft on the bed.
In my case the cause is too much material and the first layer, and according to your workaround it is the same issue.
You can try lowering a little bit the bed, or reducing roughness parameter to 0 and play with z offset (it yields to the same result).

Lumpy first layer is typical of the nozzle too close to the bed.  Adjust the z-offset value to put the nozzle further from the bed.  If you get poor adhesion, then the nozzle is too far from the bed.  There is a happy median there somewhere.
