Thanks to our friend Bret Moiseff for sending us this report and some
photos from Paul's appearance last night at the Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy
Camp closing concert.
Judges for the event included Eric Singer and Carmine Appice, both
rich in KISStory.
The Fantasy Camp battle of the bands started with a bang as Paul took
the stage with Bruce Kulick's band, Psycho Circus. Bruce said he was
excited as he hadn't played with Paul onstage for a long time. Paul
played on and off for nearly 3 hours, as he came out with each band-
trading vocals or in some cases taking all of them. It was interesting
to see Paul without a guitar on.
Paul's setlist was-
Shout it out Loud (w/Bruce's band)
Hotter Than Hell (w/ Kelly Keagy's band- Kelly played acoustic guitar)
Rock Bottom (w/Bobby Burr's band)
Love Gun (w/ Jane Wiedlin's band) Jane played cowbell- and after the
song said "Now I can check off that fantasy"
Strutter
Detroit Rock City (w/Mark Slaughter's band- w/Mark on bass) Paul
pointed to Eric singer and mouthed "come on up"
Rock and Roll All Nite (w/ Simon Kirke's band- Simon on cowbell)
King of the Nighttime World (Jeff Skunk Baxter's band)... Skunk Baxter
played on Gene's 78 solo lp as a side note
Firehouse (Teddy Zig-Zag's band)
I Want You (Artemus Pyle's band)
Do You Love Me
Strutter (w/ Spencer Davis' band)
Cmon and Love Me (w/ Spike Edney's band)
Bruce Kulick performed in the All Star jam at the end, with Jeff Scott
Soto on vocals. Paul came out to address the crowd at one point, as
well as accept a portrait that was drawn of him.
