I have a SL MKIII, a computer running Ableton Live and a Moog DFAM. I want to sync the DFAM to the analog clock output from the SL MKIII coming from Ableton Live. My understanding from the DFAM manual is that it just needs an analog clock source plugged into the the ADV. input. As a test, I have used a Moog Mother 32 clock output and the DFAM seems to work with it. Based on this, I know the DFAM can receive/respond correctly.
I've gone into Ableton Live and enabled the sync over all of the MIDI interface ports including the SL MKIII MIDI to CV port. It looks like Ableton is sending a MIDI clock/tempo to the SL MKIII -- which other MIDI connected devices are picking up -- but it doesn't seem to be sending an analog clock out.

No, there's no way to change the clock on the lock screen to an analog clock. There are hundreds, in fact probably thousands of clock apps available in the App Store. Some of them can be set to have the screen stay on so that you can always look at the clock.
Field details: The field is not editable. When I click on the field, I press an analog clock popup and after I manually select the time, then the field starts showing the selected time (rule: I must have chosen 40 minutes more than the current time)
