Yesterday my computer was running, when suddenly the display went out and the system stopped with a beeping sound. After that when I tried to start the system, it gave a Processor Thermal Trip message with a beeping sound. The message asked me to press enter in case I wanted to proceed, but after repeatedly pressing enter the system didn't react. So I force shutdown the system and tried to restart the system again.

Every time my computer freezes, if I click or scroll or otherwise interact, it beeps so loudly my ears actually hurt. If I have earbuds plugged in, it'll beep so loudly that people two rooms over will ask what the beeping noise was.

Is this a solution for just Alexa itself or for the Sonos with Alexa enabled. I was interested in turning off the beep sound on the alexa enabled beam and sonos ones, that is heard after the voice command has been completed. I have been able to turn off the wake sound.

On this song (attached below) ,a weird, low beeping sound (sounds like a zap),sounds during playback. This happens randomly, it did this a few times in a row every time I played it until I started writing this, then it stopped.
Also,(more minor issue) the scrolling is funky, when you scroll, you start scrolling, then move to the top of the page, start scrolling go back to the top of the page again etc....., this only happens during playback. This only happens on the first page.

No! You are not allowed to upload, link, sell or post the files anywhere publicly. Of course you can still use the sounds to beep out your videos and upload the newly created video. Please check our TOS.

After scrolling through a few webpages, a beep tone that resembles a number pressed on a phone has come up on a few of them. This only started happening on the 14/01/2017. I am not sure whether this is Firefox or not.

As for the beep noise, a full look at the list of addons you have installed would help. Please type about:support into your url bar, press enter then highlight and copy & paste the Extensions section here. I'll review them to see which one may be causing it so you can disable it and stop the annoying beep. :)

You can blur or pixelate a video in just a few clicks using our intuitive masks system, add solid black bars easily and even animate these elements to track your subjects with a simple, yet powerful keyframe system! Additionally, you can easily cut out parts of your audio to censor bad language, or add your own sound effects to play on top of the words that you want to censor.

Our Timeline allows you to detach the audio from a video clip and edit it individually. This way, you can censor the audio without interrupting the video. Cut out any swearing or sensitive information with the click of a button and fill the gaps with bleeping or other sound effects by dragging them over to the empty space.

You can use Flixier to bleep out swearing in a video. Just upload the video along with the beeping sound effect to your Personal Library. Drag the video down to the Timeline, right click on it and detach the audio. Then, cut out all of the swearing from the audio track and add in your bleep sound effect to fill in the gaps. You can trim the length of the bleep by dragging on its edges in the timeline.

Inside your hard drive, a spindle motor hub spins the hard disk platters inside at several thousand revolutions per minute. To read and write data to these disks, delicate read/write heads hover just a few nanometers away from the platter surfaces. If the heads crash onto the platters, they can get stuck and clamp down on the platters, holding them in place. The beeping sound actually comes from the spindle motor hub as it tries in vain to spin the platters.

Trying to run a beeping hard drive can force the spindle motor hub to burn itself out and become seized, complicating an already-messy data recovery scenario. The chances that the crashed read/write heads would unstick themselves from the platter surfaces on their own are slim to none. In cases of beeping hard drives, the read/write heads and platters usually sustain some degree of physical damage when they get stuck, although it tends to mark only a very small area of the platters since the actual tips of the read/write heads are nanometers in scale.

Imagine cringing when you hear a beeping sound that reminds you of an ICU monitor. Or you panic because you have pain in your abdomen and your mind flashes back to when you almost died because your appendix burst. This is what can happen if you have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Triggers can strike unexpectedly, causing panicked and uncontrollable reactions.

112 is only for emergency assistance. If you call the number for another reason, it is considered abuse (if you do it intentionally) or misuse (if you do it accidentally). Abuse of the emergency number is a criminal offence.

A regrettably large proportion of the calls made to 112 are misdials, prank calls or other forms of abuse or misuse. This is dangerous, as it can prevent a person who really needs help from getting through to the emergency call centre. Abuse or misuse is registered and may lead to criminal prosecution.

Abuse of 112 is a criminal offence. The police will track down anyone who calls 112 for reasons other than those for which it was intended. In cases of abuse the police can request data from the emergency call centre to trace the identity of the caller.

Tinnitus (pronounced ti-ni-tus), or ringing in the ears, is the sensation of hearing ringing, buzzing, hissing, chirping, whistling, or other sounds. The noise can be intermittent or continuous, and can vary in loudness. It is often worse when background noise is low, so you may be most aware of it at night when you're trying to fall asleep in a quiet room. In rare cases, the sound beats in sync with your heart (pulsatile tinnitus).

Although tinnitus is often associated with hearing loss, it does not cause the loss, nor does a hearing loss cause tinnitus. In fact, some people with tinnitus experience no difficulty hearing, and in a few cases they even become so acutely sensitive to sound (hyperacusis) that they must take steps to muffle or mask external noises.

Some instances of tinnitus are caused by infections or blockages in the ear, and the tinnitus can disappear once the underlying cause is treated. Frequently, however, tinnitus continues after the underlying condition is treated. In such a case, other therapies -- both conventional and alternative -- may bring significant relief by either decreasing or covering up the unwanted sound.

Prolonged exposure to loud sounds is the most common cause of tinnitus. Up to 90% of people with tinnitus have some level of noise-induced hearing loss. The noise causes permanent damage to the sound-sensitive cells of the cochlea, a spiral-shaped organ in the inner ear. Carpenters, pilots, rock musicians, street-repair workers, and landscapers are among those whose jobs put them at risk, as are people who work with chain saws, guns, or other loud devices or who repeatedly listen to loud music. A single exposure to a sudden extremely loud noise can also cause tinnitus.

Are you around loud sounds? Lots of blaring noises where you live or work can cause hearing loss that triggers tinnitus. Those sounds could include roaring machines, lawn equipment, concerts, and sporting events.

It's unfortunate that my memorable trip is now tainted by such a blatantly abusive traffic fines system. Not saying I am not guilty. I'm saying it's seriously unreasonable, and there has got to be a line drawn somewhere about this abuse.

To vdcheung, if you were constantly speeding that you admitted to why is it abuse if you get the tickets. One thing you have in Italy is constant speed monitoring. They take a chunk of the road - maybe ten miles - take a picture at the beginning and another at the end and average your speed. If you are above, you get the ticket. Looks like you have wantonly violated a lot of traffic regulations so now you pay the price.

To the OP:
Not to keep piling on, but you mention you rented a car with GPS.
Most GPS systems will beep at you when you are approaching the automatic speed cameras located as you say throughout the country.
This gives you a little warning one is approaching and many GPS units and apps will tell you the speed limit at the time before the camera is on you so you have a chance to slow down.

With nine citations this could easily run into the thousands of dollars. You have my sympathy. Italy is free to set and enforce their laws as they see fit, and we as travelers are subject to those laws. BUT clearly the way the laws are defined and enforced in Italy stacks the deck against travelers who are average or above average in their level of driving skill, observational powers, and preparation. You see new messages on this board similar to this every other week, few almost none about any other country. I am sure it's possible to be wary and well prepared enough to avoid this situation, but it does not sound like a recipe for a relaxing vacation. I have driven in countries with speed cameras (England, Ireland, France twice each) without incident, maybe the tolerances are wider in those countries. Italy seems to be a special case, based upon the high number of people who seem to have problems like this.
