Save the Date – KR Christmas Party 15th December

Greetings KRew
After what has been a warm start to Spring 2024, we suddenly have a cold wet day. It is good for the gardens and good for running as I know the KRew love to run over the bridge and splash in all the great puddles of water that accumulate on our route. Always being careful of the leaves on Macquarie St and the track around the Opera House.
Nothing stops the KRew, not sun, not rain, not fog or hail or even snow…. Okay if it actually snowed the whole of Sydney would come to a big grinding halt, so we will see everyone there tonight for a fun run frolic across the bridge.
The KR Christmas Party will be held on 15th December, so save the date and get ready for a great way to celebrate the end of the running year with all your KR buddies.
Talking of social event, well done to Greg for organising a great BBQ last Saturday, it was a tremendous afternoon of eating and hanging out with all of our KR family and friends. Well done Greg it was an awesome function.
Shop is Open! KR shop is now open for all your KR gear. Shop must close October 7th. We have a wide range of men’s and women’s t-shirts, crop tops and singlets, plus caps and visors, and don’t forget to order you KR jacket and Hoodie as well. Upcoming Events
Don’t despair as there is still some great races left his year that the KRew will be at Repping the Red. The biggest of these is the sold-out Melbourne Marathon in October. At the end of October is the Bondi2Manly Ultra, for those wanting a huge and incredibly scenic challenge can do the full 80k event. For those wanting the experience and run with some friends there is the relay event.
Sri Chimnoy still have a couple of events left, including the marathon and half-marathon in Royal National Park, always a good event and I know that we have a few KRew going down for it. There is a still a few events in NSW at places like Orange for Lonely Mountain.
KR Christmas Party is on the 15th December, more details to follow.
Lastly, a lot of races have opened registration for 2025, and based on how quickly they sold out last year, if you are thinking of running them, sign up now!
Of course, there are many many races throughout the year that the KR will do, such as those out at Sydney Olympic Park and around the foreshore. We will highlight as many was think of, but if you have one to promote you think the KRew will love, let us know!
If you want to find some for yourself I recommend using The Running Calendar website which lists just about every race in Australia.
Tuesday Speed Session is on Tuesday at 6:30pm at Gore Hill Oval every week, all welcome!
If you are bringing bags tonight, there will be a car to hold them whilst you run. (But please pick them up as soon as we have finished the run!)
Don’t forget, post the run, we always head to the KH for a post run drink or two, then to the long time KR pizza place for awesome pizza at a discounted price from Hendra and his crew.
