Time for a Jaunt Across The Bridge

Here we are on Thursday and it is time to lace up your shoes and head to Kirribilli for the weekly run on the KRClassic course. This week I’m expecting the weather to be kind to us and should be perfect conditions for running.

Talking of running, how many of you are like me and a more of a morning runner and have the privilege each day to see first light and then to see the first rays of the sun rise from out of the East. Anyone who follows Strava will see many of the photos of the magnificent sunrises that we have been having for the last few months.

It was good to see on FB and Strava so many racing and Repping the Red last weekend at various events around the place. I saw we had a small group out at Mudgee running in the vineyards and doing some hiking and I’m sure, some wine tasting! Well done to everyone!

Shirt News

I will open the order link again shortly as I think we now have enough people wanting more shirts to reach the minimum of 20 per order that we need.

I only have a few 2XU shirts and if you are after one please message or write to me with what you are looing for. I have a couple of XS male and S female singlets and a few M and one L female T-shirts shirts but hit me up anyway you never know I might have what you are looking for. I have now sold a few of the 2XU that I have but please keep on to me about them to see if I have something that will fit you.

Upcoming Events

Blackmores Running Festival in September is the next big event! Entries are open and when you sign up make sure you join the Kirribilli Runners team! I’m sure that a lot of us will be doing that event and in fact are already in training for the marathon event! Post the race we will gather and have a brunch (except for those of us still doing the last few km of the marathon if we are not quick enough.) Stay tuned for more details.

We are now looking for volunteers, so if you are not running come along and give something back to your community! Helen has again kindly volunteered to coordinate our volunteer roster and has now posted on our page, so let her know.

Tonight’s KRClassic

For the run tonight, if you are bringing bags, I’m pleased to say that Matt will be there with his car, to hold them whilst you run. Thank you Matt that is really awesome!!
