KR Post Marathon BBQ 2025

The Sydney Marathon celebrations at KR continue with the Post Marathon BBQ this Saturday Rosherville Reserve (Chinamans Beach) starting at 1pm.
Don’t forget on 11th October we will hold the Biennial KR Wine Tour. This event is only $70 for the bus and is limited to 40 people. (News Flash only 18 seats left!) So be quick and let Luzaan know if you are coming and she will put you on the list. (See event invite.)
A lot of fun and excitement coming up for the KRew, and doesn’t stop there, shortly I send out a save date for the annual KR Christmas Party for 2025 – stay tuned.
KR turns 20 in 2026 logo competition has had a huge number of votes and currently hotly contested between options 1 and 2. I’m very excited by the entries I got and everyone getting involved in the voting. If you haven’t voted yet, there is still time, but hurry as I will close it off at the end of this weekend.
Upcoming Events
Next KR long run course is yet to be confirmed but save Sunday 21st September. See Tully if you want to help out with one of the distances on offer.
Tuesday Speed Sessions these are held every Tuesday at the place Gore Hill Oval at 6:30pm. All Welcome! See you there!
2nd Annual NRG v KR Invitational 4 by 60 relay. Our friends at NRG have extended an invitation to KR for us to go and defend our title as the best relay team and a chance to retain our title. If you are keen to join the team please let me know. I especially need more KR women for our mixed and single sex teams. (See event on our FB page.)
Upcoming Races
Bare Creek 20k Trail Race (ENTRIES NOW OPEN) will be held on 2nd November. In KR I know we have a lot of trail runners, those who think that spending the day out on the trails running mountains and fording streams is the only way to be free. This year I hope we can get a big contingent of the KRew up to Acron Oval to take on this beautiful course in Garrigal National Park. https://barecreektrailrun.com.au
For a friendly, low pressure local race series that is very reasonably priced, has various distances on offer and held is some of the most scenic parts of Sydney, check our Sri Chinmoy. https://au.srichinmoyraces.org/sydneyraces
Of course, there are many races throughout the year that the KR will do, such as those out at Sydney Olympic Park and around the foreshore. We will highlight as many we think of, but if you have one to promote you think the KRew will love, let us know!

If you find a race that has a KR Team and needs a code let me know. Or if you are the first KR to sign up for a race, please create a KR team and let me know.
