This week and for the next 3 weeks during Vivid we will be using the Vivid Variation Course v2.0 a nice cruise around the western side of the Rocks. See picture attached and if you want to upload the gpx file I’ve just posted it on the FB page.
North Sydney parkrun turns 7! This weekend NS parkrun is celebrating its 7th birthday and I’m sure it will be a great morning. As you all know Kirribilli Runners has been a big supporter of the NS parkrun since it started back in 2018 and since then KR has been every week Repping the Red and many current KR joined us because of seeing the KRew at St Leonards Park. This week I see that long time the Event Director and friend of KR Matt Dawson is hanging up his hi-vis vest to focus on other things. Well done Matt and best wishes from Kirribilli Runners!
To celebrate the anniversary and say thanks to Matt I hope we have a huge turnout of KR proudly wearing the Red at the KR home parkrun.
Upcoming Events
Next KR long run will be Sunday 15th June with 10k, 20k and 30k options. If you would like to lead one of the groups for any of the distances, please see Tully I know he is keen to get you involved.
Upcoming Races
Many local and Australian 2025 races are now open for registration and if you think you will run any of them, I encourage you to sign up straight away as they will sell out. (Both Gold Coast marathon and half marathon, along with Melbourne marathon have already sold out.)

The Bay to Bay Running Festival 2025 on Sunday 15th June has now sold out of marathon and half marathon entries, but the 12k is still open and still worth running. https://www.baytobay.org.au/
Real Insurance 10k and 5k on Sunday 27th July has just opened for registration. This is flat fast event along the harbour foreshore in the city. A great event that usually attracts a lot of the KRew to lace up and get out for a quick 5 or 10k. City2Surf 2025 is now open and really selling fast. Latest is that C2S is now 95% sold out! Get in fast and join 60 or more of the KRew on the annual dash from the city to Bondi Beach. UPDATE: Tully informs me that they have now resolved the team issue for C2S and you can now join the KR Team.

Sydney Marathon has been moved to 31st August and the ballot entries have now closed and entries confirmed. If you missed out, consider becoming an official volunteer or coming down and supporting the KRew.
Bare Creek 20k Trail Race will be held on 2nd November. In KR I know we have a lot of trail runners, those who think that spending the day out on the trails running mountains and fording streams is the only way to be free. This year I hope we can get a big contingent of the KRew up to Acron Oval to take on this beautiful course in Garrigal National Park. https://barecreektrailrun.com.au

Of course, there are many races throughout the year that the KR will do, such as those out at Sydney Olympic Park and around the foreshore. We will highlight as many we think of, but if you have one to promote you think the KRew will love, let us know!

If you find a race that has a KR Team and needs a code let me know. Or if you are the first KR to sign up for a race, please create a KR team and let me know.
