Always perfect weather for the KRClassic

Greetings KRew
As everyone would have heard me say many time, “there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices…” jokes aside, we know nothing stops the KRew from running the KRClassic course each Thursday. Okay except when the bridge is closed, which does force us to be a little creative with the course. Be that as it may, tonight the bridge is open and having been out early this morning, the Opera house is clear as well so a great night to come along and participate in the most iconic run in Sydney.
Don’t forget Canberra Marathon, part of the Australian Running Festival, is being held in the bush capital on the weekend of 9/10 April. It is getting close to closing, but I’m sure there is still time for you to sign up if you want to join us running rings around Parliament House.
In May for those not lucky enough to get into one of the UTA events, the SMH Half Marathon is being held. Make sure you sign up and join the KRew for an awesome trot around our fair city. A few people have asked me about volunteering and we are still waiting hear from the organisers about that.
Lastly in racing news, City to Surf 2022 is being held after being cancelled for the last two years. Right now you can put your claim in for your start group based on previous races unless you are already pre-qualified. Entries open very soon so stay tuned. I’m sure the City Beach Hotel will be pleased to see the KRew back for a few post the race!
I look forward to seeing all the KRew tonight for the KRClassic, if you are bringing a bag we will have her car there so you can store it whilst you run. (We are trying to get the pub to let us store bags, but it is still a work in progress.)
After last weeks successful event downstairs in the KH, we will head back there for a post run drink before those who want to, head off to pizza at the KRew’s favourite pizza place! So post the run if you feel like a drink come and join us and put the social in social running club! (Check out our Instagram for photos and videos of last weeks Thank You event for Chris.)
