Warm and wet, just perfect for running around the Opera House

Well it looks like we might be having a warm wet run tonight, but that’s okay because the KR are dauntless, and never worry about a little thing like rain, storm or tempest, we are there for the pure pleasure of the run!
For the run tonight, now that Joy will no longer be here so we can pile our bags into her car, I’m pleased to say that Helena has offered her car and along with Matt, will have us covered. Thank you Helena and Matt that is awesome!!
Now something I have not talked about for a while now is parkrun. I know many of the KRew both run and volunteer at many of them, and also many of our regular KR members found the club by folks repping the red at various events held here in Sydney.
The traditional home parkrun for us is North Sydney and still a favourite of many, although some will tell me that Willoughby or Mosman are better courses, or for flatter course all the way out at Rhodes. Which ever one you choose I encourage you to go along, run and of course, give back by volunteering every few times. Parkruns are also perfect for your non-running friends and family to get them started on their running journey.
Shirt News
I will open the order link again shortly as I think we now have enough people wanting more shirts to reach the minimum of 20 per order that we need.
I still have a few 2XU shirts and if you are after one please message or write to me with what you are looing for. I have mainly XS male and S female singlets and a few T-shirts shirts of various sizes, but hit me up anyway you never know I might have what you are looking for. I have now sold a few of the 2XU that I have but please keep on to me about them to see if I have something that will fit you.
Upcoming Events
Here we are in August already and City to Surf 2022 is nearly upon us. There is still time to register and join the KR team and rep the Red on this iconic course. Post the race, which is what all the chat is about, we will head to the Beach Road Hotel where the fasties will have secured our spot on the first floor out the back. The address is 71 Beach Road, Bondi Beach. Ironically the Beach Road Hotel isn’t actually near the beach, but about 3 blocks back from the beach, you’ll find us!!
Blackmores Running Festival in September entries are open and when you sign up make sure you join the Kirribilli Runners team! I’m sure that a lot of us will be doing that event and in fact are already in training for the marathon event! We will also be looking for volunteers, so if you are not running come along and give something back to your community!
