Greetings KRew
This week we say a huge congratulations to the Carcoar KR men’s and women’s team who took out the marathon relay event. Both teams did amazing times beating their competition by a huge margin. If you want to read more follow the link to Tully’s post on our FB page. There you will also find two news items from the event featuring the winning KRew.

As usual, Carcoar wasn’t the only place that saw the KRew racing on the weekend. Out at St Ives a few of us took on the Bare Creek 20k trail race. It was a great morning for exploring the trails of Garigal National Park on this friendly local race.
On Sunday it was the New York Marathon and KR didn’t miss out with Lyndal taking on the spectacular NYC course.
Congratulations to everyone who showed up to the start line of a race last weekend. Go you good thing!
Don’t forget if you run a race somewhere please tag KirribilliRunners and share it on our FB and Strava pages. You know the KRew love nothing better than supporting all your achievements.
This week we are back to the KRClassic course, and it looks like it will be perfect weather for run across the bridge and around the Opera House. So come along and join all your running buddies for the best run of the week.
Upcoming Events
Next KR long run will be Sunday 16th November. Please see the invite from Tully on FB closer to the date. See you all there.
Save the Date – KR Christmas Party confirmed for Sunday 7th December. Each year we hold our annual Christmas Party, always a big event on the KR calendar where we share food, laughs and of course announce the KR Member of the Year. I will confirm the location closer to the date, so stay tuned.
Tuesday Speed Sessions these are held every Tuesday at the place Gore Hill Oval at 6:30pm. Great way to practice for next year’s Relay Race. All Welcome! See you there!
Upcoming Races
As hard as it to believe but we are nearly at the end of the 2025 and soon the 2026 races will be starting. On Saturday 31st January will be the first race that will have plenty of the KRew toeing the start line is the Sun Run from Dee Why to Manly. A challenging and fun 10k or 7km race and the perfect way to start the year off. At the moment they have early bird pricing and Ludmila has created the Kirribilli Runners team. So come along and join the fun.
Shortly we will publish a list of the races that we will be promoting in 2026 and hope that you can join us either racing or supporting.
For a friendly, low pressure local race series that is very reasonably priced, has various distances on offer and held is some of the most scenic parts of Sydney, check our Sri Chinmoy. https://au.srichinmoyraces.org/sydneyraces
Of course, there are many races throughout the year that the KR will do, such as those out at Sydney Olympic Park and around the foreshore. We will highlight as many we think of, but if you have one to promote you think the KRew will love, let us know!
If you want to find some races for yourself, I highly recommend using The Running Calendar website which lists just about every race in Australia. If you find a race that has a KR Team and needs a code let me know. Or if you are the first KR to sign up for a race, please create a KR team and let me know.

If you are bringing bags tonight, Will will be there with his car to hold them whilst you run. (But please pick them up as soon as we have finished the run!) Thank you, Will much appreciated!
That’s a wrap for this week; remember to take care of yourself, and if you can, others.
Keep running @everyone and happy trails,
Steve
