As per my email last week there will be no KR Classic tonight due to Vivid. However, I have heard that several smaller groups of friends and running buddies are gathering tonight to go for a local run and go to the pub and maybe pizza as well. So even though we have no official run on tonight, but you feel like running with some buddies head down and I’m sure you will find some folks to run and socialise with.
And just like last week when you do run wear your Red KR shirt and post of runfie (just like a selfie but during a run) and post here on FB and we promise to give you kudos.
Next week we will be back to our normal runs on Monday, KR10k and Thursday KRClassic and it will be great to have our iconic courses back.
Got to give kudos and Lachlan and Sean who on the weekend did a 24hr track race, with Lachlan doing 155km. Well done boys, inspiring effort, especially as your first iron man was only a few weeks ago.
Wine Tour 16 July! We have now booked the bus and it is time to register for the Wine Tour, very simple, just click the link register and we will send you the bank account details to make your payment. We only have 24 seats, so register today to make sure you don’t miss out.

KR Long Run A shout out to everyone who did the KR long run last week we had 30 people take on the various distances and from all the photos and smiling faces it was a great morning.
The next KR long run is on Sunday 9th July at 7am. This time we are going to be doing a City2Surf sneak preview, starting in the usual place. The KRew will run from the step to Park St and follow the iconic course to Bondi Beach and then return via Bondi Junction
Tuesday Speed Sessions Most of you know we hold a speed session on Tuesday nights at Gore Hill Oval starting at 6:30pm. It is great to see about 14 or 15 people coming each week to work on their speed and push themselves on the various sessions that we do. All are welcome and for more details please message me directly.
Sydney Marathon Training Run by ASICS, this Sunday will see some of the KRew heading out Coogee beach for the session starting at 7am.
Bay to Bay 2023, this Sunday is an almost flat fast half marathon running from Woy Woy to Gosford on a very scenic course along the bay. I’ve done this one a few times now and I can highly recommend this friendly race. For those not wanting to do a half they also have a 12km option. https://www.baytobay.org.au
Gold Coast Marathon, I know there are few folks signing up to the Gold Coast Marathon on either the Half or the Full marathon and some folks doing both events on the weekend. I did this last year and it was a great weekend on a fast flat course, and they give you really good bling and a shirt!
Real Insurance 5k and 10k on 23 July will see many of the KRew go out and push their limits on this extremely flat and fast course. Last year I watched a lot of KRs finishing this race with everyone reporting an awesome experience and right here on the harbour front. https://sydneyharbour10k.com.au
City2Surf entries are now open! This is always a bit KR event where we will end up at the Beach Road Hotel after the race. We have a team so search for Kirribilli Runners in the team list and make sure you join when you sign up.
Sydney Running Festival in on Sunday 17 Sep 23! Never too early to sign up for the marathon and get your training program sorted. I have started a KR group so make sure you join the KRew team!
That’s a wrap for this week; remember to take care of yourself and others.
Keep running @everyone and happy trails,
