Harbour 10k Raffle Draw Tonight

After 3 weeks of the raffle the KRew has raised over $500 for the KR 2026 Charity Stuart House. Tonight we will make the draw and announce the winner before the KRClassic.
Good luck to everyone who entered the draw, and a big thank you also to those donated to Stuart House, a very worthy cause!

Last weekend we had quite a few of KRew out Repping the Red in the Hoka Half and 10k events. It was a perfect morning for running the hilly 21.1k course, and a very well organised event for nearly 30,000 runners across all the events. Post race we gathered at the Hydeaway Café in Hyde Park for a coffee and chat in the sun.
Big call out to the 8 official volunteers that KR provided to the event under the on-the-day leadership of Alex S. Thank you to each of those volunteers it is because you are there that we can all enjoy the race!!
20th Anniversary Update
It has been pointed out to me that I have been saying for the last several weeks that we are going to update the calendar and get ready for the next social event. Luzaan and I spoke yesterday and we will get together with Greg and get it sorted!!

The calendar of course, has all the regular KR runs as well as the major races that we will be following and promoting. We will add to the races as the year goes on. If you have a favourite race, then let me know and we can add it.
Upcoming Events
Monthly Long Run Sunday. After last week’s very successful long run, we will be doing it again on Sunday 17th May. Save the date!
Tuesday Speed Sessions. We will be meeting at 6:30pm at the usual spot at Gore Hill Oval. It is open to all and if you want to know more details, please reach out to me.
Upcoming Races
Check out the new Paramatta Half held in June which should be a good race to head out west for. They’ve just released the new course.

Another great local 10k race is the Real Insurance harbour 10k a flat fast course along the foreshore. So far we have 21 people in the KR team and would love to have you join us. (Enter the KR raffle and possibly win a free entry)
Next Sri Chinmoy race will be on 7th June at Iron Cove for a 7k and 21k event. These races are a friendly, low pressure local race series that is very reasonably priced, have various distances on offer and held in some of the most scenic parts of Sydney. https://au.srichinmoyraces.org/sydneyraces
Of course, there are many races throughout the year that the KR will do, such as those out at Sydney Olympic Park and around the foreshore. We will highlight as many we think of, but if you have one to promote you think the KRew will love, let us know!

If you find a race that has a KR Team and needs a code let me know. Or if you are the first KR to sign up for a race, please create a KR team and let me know.

If you are bringing bags tonight Trevor has promised to bring his car to hold them for you. As always please collect them straight after the photo. Thank you, Trevor, much appreciated.
Regarding the bag drop, to help keep KR running smoothly I have asked Trevor to take on being the coordinator for Monday and Thursday nights to ensure there is a car to enable the bag drop. He has a group chat and would love to add you to it if you are able to help from time to time.
