Please be aware that significant road congestion is expected in Kirkland this weekend due to construction on the Fish Passageway under I-405. The City encourages community members to plan ahead, complete shopping trips early, and use alternate modes of travel.

Closure Details:
Southbound I-405 in Kirkland will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday, May 29, to 4 a.m. Monday, June 1. Lane reductions begin Friday at 8 p.m., and the NE 116th Street and NE 85th Street on-ramps to southbound I-405 will be closed.

Closure Schedule:

- 11 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday: Southbound I-405 closed from NE 124th Street to N 70th Place. The NE 124th Street on-ramp will also be closed.
- 6 a.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Monday: Southbound I-405 closed from NE 85th Street to N 70th Place. Travelers can detour east or west from the NE 85th Street off-ramp by following signed detour routes.

I have attached the detour map for your reference. While the traffic may be difficult, please remember these improvements are being made to support the local fish passage.
