Upcoming full weekend closures on Northeast 85th Street starting in late October or early November
As part of ongoing construction activities, Northeast 85th Street between Kirkland Way/114th Avenue Northeast and 120th Avenue Northeast will be closed in both directions starting as early as late October or early November. These closures will ensure the safety of crews and the traveling public while girders are installed above Northeast 85th Street in advance of I-405 bridge work.
Residents and businesses near the project area may also continue to experience noise, dust, and vibration from construction work and equipment while crews complete work during these full weekend closures.

About the I-405/Northeast 85th Street Interchange and Inline BRT Station Project
The Washington State Department of Transportation, Sound Transit, and design-build contractor Graham Contracting, Ltd. began construction on the I-405/Northeast 85th Street Interchange and Inline BRT Station Project this past summer.
Once finished, the project will improve access to the Express Toll Lane (ETL) system and offer more reliable transportation options for everyone in Kirkland – no matter how you get around.
