The Kirkland Parks & Community Foundation (KPCF) is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural Ignite Kirkland Grant program, a new initiative designed to empower local nonprofits by connecting them directly with community members eager to make a difference.

A total of 27 local nonprofits that serve Kirkland residents have applied for this unique grant opportunity, requesting help to provide vital services and supplies to power their essential work. To meet this need, KPCF has compiled a catalog of specific requests, giving the community an easy way to review and contribute to the needs of these organizations. Here’s the link to the donation page https://kpcf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/list/grant  Your donation, however small or large, will make a difference.

From November 11 to Giving Tuesday, December 3, we invite Kirkland residents to join us in answering this call to action. The Ignite Kirkland grant page will allow individuals to donate to causes that directly benefit the community they call home. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to fully funding the requests and ensuring these nonprofits can continue their important work.

Here is a list of the nonprofits who are participating in the program:

  • 4 Tomorrow
  • Africans on the Eastside
  • Catholic Community Services
  • Finn Hill Neighborhood Alliance.
  • Friends of Youth
  • John Muir Elementary PTSA
  • KAMP
  • Kindering
  • Kirkland Arts Center
  • Kirkland Choral Society
  • Kirkland Downtown Association
  • Kirkland Heritage Society
  • Kirkland Civic Orchestra
  • Kirkland Performance Center
  • Lake Washington Schools Foundation
  • NAMI Eastside
  • Oom Yung Doe Kirkland

But the support doesn’t stop there! Thanks to the generosity of Amazon and other donors, KPCF will make additional grants with our own funds, working to top off these campaigns. While it’s our goal to fully fund all the nonprofit requests, we need the community’s help to make it happen.

"This is an exciting opportunity for everyone in Kirkland to make a tangible impact,” said Carmin Dalziel, Executive Director of KPCF. "Together, we can ensure these nonprofits have the resources they need to serve our community, and it all starts with local support."
