The City of Kirkland’s Holiday Craft Show promises to be a shopping
treasure trove of one-of-a-kind gifts, fine jewelry, gourmet treats,
holiday décor and more. Admission is free to this new festive holiday
event that features the work of local artists and craftspeople. For

Public Meeting: King County's Solid Waste Management Plan

Kirkland City Hall Council Chambers

Kirkland’s Solid Waste Division will host a public meeting to receive
public comment on the King County Solid Waste Division’s Draft 2009
Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan. The plan presents proposed
strategies for managing King County’s solid waste over the next six
years. Kirkland residents are encouraged to attend to learn about the
physical and financial infrastructure of King County’s solid waste
system and a number of proposed waste reduction and recycling goals
and collection and processing recommendations. City of Kirkland and
King County Solid Waste Division staff will be on hand to provide
detailed information and to answer questions. Comment forms will be
provided. King County seeks public comment by February 4, 2010.

The plan can be viewed online at www.kingcounty.gov/swdcompplan.
No hard copies of the plan will be provided at the public meeting.
