I-405 construction updates: Lane reductions on southbound I-405 in Kirkland, April 11-14

Crews will reduce up to two lanes of southbound I-405, April 11-14 to prepare for the upcoming traffic switch to the new bridge. During the lane reductions, up to two lanes of traffic will remain open and the Express Toll Lanes (ETLs) will be open to all traffic.
Southbound I-405 lane reduction details
Southbound I-405 in Kirkland will be reduced up to two lanes from:
- Northeast 124th Street to Northeast 85th Street
- 10:30 p.m. Friday, April 11 to 6:30 a.m. Monday, April 14
- ETLs will be open to all during the lane reduction
Please drive carefully and follow the signs through the work zones during this period.
At a later date, the general purpose lanes of southbound I-405 will shift to the new bridge during an overnight lane reduction . The southbound ETLs will shift shortly after, as part of ongoing nightwork.
