Wednesday Weeding moved to Thursday this week
This week we'll work at Cotton Hill Park on Thursday morning from
8am-10am. Please join Kudos Kirkland volunteers to clear blackberries
and old wire fencing near the trail intersection. Tools provided.

ABOUT OUR BEAUTIFUL CITY TO OUR GUESTS THIS SUMMER.
DATE : SATURDAY, APRIL 28TH
MEET : 126 PARK LANE AVENUE
WHO : EVERYONE, AGE 14 AND ABOVE
TIME : 8:30 AM FOR COFFEE FROM STARBUCKS AND DIRECTIONS
BRING: IF YOU HAVE THEM, RAKES, SHOVELS, DUST PANS, BROOMS, GLOVES AND
WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHING.
LUNCH : MEET BETWEEN 11:30 AND NOON AT QDOBA ON LAKE STREET. DON'T
FORGET TO GIVE STARBUCK'S AND QDOBA'S A BIG SHOUT OUT FOR BEING SUCH

Dear Green Kirkland Supporter,
Join over a billion people world-wide to celebrate Earth Day this
month! Please join volunteers at Juanita Bay Park to celebrate our
wondrous planet. EarthCorps crews and Native Plant Stewards will be
leading activities to remove invasive plants and spread woodchip
mulch.
Date: Saturday April 21
Time: 9 a.m. until Noon
Place: Juanita Bay Park (2201 Market St., Kirkland). Directions are
given below. Please arrive early to find street parking and allow time
for sign-in. The event is popular and parking spaces at the park will
fill up fast.
Sponsors: Event management funded by The Robidoux Foundation
Coffee donated by Starbucks District 122
Suitable for: Adults, Teens, and Families. Minors under the age of 14
years must be accompanied by an adult. Youth 14 to 17 years should be
accompanied by an adult, or bring a signed waiver form , or a parent/
guardian to sign you in. Youth waiver forms can be obtained in advance
from the City or EarthCorps websites.
Tools: EarthCorps and Kirkland Parks will provide tools and equipment.
Sign up: Please sign up at the EarthCorps website. Advance sign up is
important for planning purposes; however, volunteers who show up on

Sustainable Kirkland Information Booth: You’ll meet a group of local
residents who have come together through their shared interest in
making Kirkland a more environmentally friendly place to live.
Sustainable Kirkland is the Kirkland Chapter of SCALLOPS (Sustainable
Communities ALL Over Puget Sound), www.sustainablekirkland.org.
