Title: Business Analyst & Retail SME (Analytics)
Location: Issaquah, WA
No H1B
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital analytics, with a strong background in business analysis and metric strategy.
Platform Knowledge: Strong functional understanding of the Adobe Analytics interface and reporting capabilities, with working knowledge of Customer Journey Analytics (CJA). (Note: Hands-on coding/tagging is not required). Industry Expertise: Deep Retail experience is strictly required for this role to confidently help the business define relevant performance indicators and critical metrics. Cross-Channel Knowledge: Experience with various channels-specifically web and mobile apps-is preferred to understand cross-channel attribution.
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Analysis & KPI Definition
Proactively work directly with business stakeholders to define what needs to be tracked, moving the team away from a reactive, request-taking model.
Apply strong business acumen, combined with a customer-centric approach, to identify, develop, and enable deep actionable insights that improve the digital experience for customers and prospects.
Lead analytics strategy building and participate in the design of various analytics features.
2. Conversion Optimization & Attribution Strategy
Focus heavily on optimizing and refining mobile conversion-related KPIs. Partner with business and marketing teams to investigate the current attribution leak, defining the business rules required to ensure mobile conversions are cleanly isolated and accurately reported.
Support tracking prioritization and the ongoing roadmap of Analytics improvements.
3. Development Liaison & Functional Bridge
Act as the functional bridge between the onsite commercial strategy teams and the offshore analytics technical team (Architects, Developers, QA).
Translate high-level business metrics and KPIs into clear, functional requirements that the technical team can execute against.
Ensure technical hurdles or obstacles communicated by the architecture team are clearly translated back to business stakeholders in a non-technical manner.
4. CJA Migration Readiness
Act as the business lead for the imminent migration from Adobe Analytics to Customer Journey Analytics (CJA).
Collaborate with the Martech team and vendor partners (e.g., Tredence) to ensure business continuity during the migration.
• Define which reports, dashboards, and metrics must be rebuilt or optimized within the new CJA environment to support end-of-year fiscal goals.
