Finally, please be noted that Industrial Designs also suffered changes, the most important one being with regards to its term of protection, which is increased from 15 years to 25 years. This change affects ALL valid Industrial Designs, regardless when they were applied for (as long as they are STILL valid). Payment of governmental fees is required in order to extend its validity.
