In thinking about the upcoming KinkForAll New York City 3 unconference, as well as the proliferation of KinkForAll unconferences across the nation, it occurs to me that differentiating locales could become increasingly useful, if it is not already important. I put together a San Francisco-specific icon for KFASF,[0] and I just got struck with an idea for a NYC-specific icon.
My idea: a Creative Commons licensed or non-copyrighted image of the Statue of Liberty's torch, modified by an artist more skilled than I so that the flame of the torch is the KinkForAll flame-in-flame icon. I might even go so far as to suggest that the colors be modified to reflect the statue's original copper flame color.
I took the liberty (no pun intended) to put together a mockup of my idea, and a PNG image is attached to this email.
What do you guys think? Any artistically-inclined individuals want to tackle turning my crude and ugly mockup into a beautiful icon for KFANYC3?
Cheers,
-maymay

No, the original KinkForAll icon and coloring and font choices and so on were created by Sinclair Sexsmith,[0] modified from the BarCamp icon.

I think it's possible to have different people create designs that have a consistent look. That's part of why we share all our resources. :)

I'm not asking someone to make a different logo, I'm asking if anyone wants to create a promotional design that incorporates NYC's iconography. See also the very many different variations of the BarCamp icon.[1][2]
I think it would be *fun,* not required, to promote remix culture. :) That's all.

Among other ideas, could be a fun shirt, and I'd like more KFA shirts.
