inception the world wide web. Today, their product is one of the worlds
leaders in carrier grade IP billing software, customer care and service
management software solutions for service providers. They incorporate the
latest technology in a flexible, integrated framework that allows service
providers to offer a diverse set of services.
Responsibilities:
The Java Developers working within Advanced Engineering will be responsible
for experimentation with, and interfacing to the latest technology in the IP
industry. The developer will:
? Determine appropriate system designs based on business requirements and
detailed specs
? Develop code for system development, modifications, and enhancements
? Test program code before delivering to QA
? Deliver solutions within established target dates
? Use generally accepted SDLC processes
? Develop/maintain system documentation
? Acquire company and product knowledge
? Perform as a co-operative and strong team member.
? In addition to the general duties of the Java Developer, the candidate
will also be responsible for recommending new technologies for
investigation, as well as defining “best practices” for evaluations
Minimum Qualifications:
? 5 years of development experience
? Experience with two or more of the following: Powerbuilder, Java, Forte,
Silverstream, Websphere
? 3 years experience with Client Server applications
? Multiple RDBMS experiences: Oracle, Sybase, etc.
? Formal SDLC disciplines, OO tools: Rational Rose, UML, Select, etc.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills (will be collaborating
with clients)
? Experience architecting complex solutions
? Experience developing project timelines and tracking to them
? Development experience under Solaris and Windows (2K, NT, 98)
? 5 years C/C++ experience
? SQL, PL/SQL, CORBA, Javascript

Experience with:
? Multi-tier or Internet development
? Data Modeling tools
? Web applications
? Reusable objects and components
? HTML, Javascript
