* Kingston or Toronto, ON to be determined by the client;
* Kingston to Toronto trips are estimated a single trip every two
months or less, based upon project needs, and our client with will be
responsible for travel and accommodation expenses

Mandatory:
``````````````````
* 10+ years’ experience in IT systems development;
* 10+ years’ experience as an IT systems tester in an HP Non-Stop
(Tandem) batch, online, n-tier and web environment;
* Excellent knowledge of HP Non-Stop and related technologies;
* Excellent experience with SQL;
* Excellent web-based and client-server application testing and
environment experience;
* Experience/knowledge in structured methodologies for the
development, design, testing, implementation and maintenance of
applications;
* Ability to understand and analyse business requirements, non-
functional requirements, and systems response documents in order to
design and execute test plans and test suites (including test cases)
to ensure proper system functioning and that business requirements are
met;
* Ability to write test plans and test cases that are well-structured,
easy to maintain, and easily understood by developers, business
analysts and clients;
* Experience/knowledge with and understanding of relational databases
relevant to creating appropriate test data; and
* Demonstrated success in working productively with business clients,
developers, peers, and technical specialists such as architects and
DBAs.
* Proven troubleshooting and analytical experience related to IT
system defect identification, confirmation and resolution;
* Strong verbal and written communication skills;
* Strong Interpersonal and negotiation skills;
* Strong consulting skills to engage with all stakeholders; and
* A demonstrated team player with a track record for meeting
deadlines.

Scope of Services and Deliverables:

A system tester is required to help meet our client’s project
priorities and testing resource demands on IT projects and
enhancements. Testing services will be required on our client’s real-
time system and supporting web-based or client-server applications.

Your responsibilities include the following:

* Analysing business requirements documentation including Use Cases
and non-functional requirements;
* Contributing to the testing strategy and create systems test plan
and test suites (including test cases);
* Analysing test data requirements and creating appropriate test data
to support the test strategy;
* Executing system and user acceptance tests adhering to our client’s
test methodologies;
* Verifying that actual results meet expected results. Examining test
databases using SQL. Analysing and log test results. Documenting and
monitoring resolution of system variances using an automated problem
management system;
* Providing recommendations to the Project Manager as to the
acceptance or rejection of any changed system components;
* Weekly reporting on status, progress, and key issue/concerns as
directed by the Project Lead or Sr. Project Manager; and
* Transferring skills and knowledge to client’s selected staff.
