Greater love hath no woman than to take the rap for her husband!

A KINGSTON WOMAN IS FACING IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES TONIGHT -- AFTER A
BIZARRE CRASH THAT KILLED TWO PEOPLE, AND SENT THREE OTHERS TO HOSPITAL. THE
ACCUSED, 48-YEAR-OLD TERESA DUFFUS, WAS AMONG THOSE INJURED WHEN A SPEEDING
CAR PLOWED INTO A HOUSE IN THE CITY'S BAYRIDGE NEIGHBOURHOOD LAST NIGHT. AS
NEWSWATCH'S CHRIS HARVEY REPORTS, ONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO DIED WAS IN THE
HOUSE AT THE TIME...THE OTHER WAS A WELL KNOWN FORMER TEACHER, AND SCHOOL
BOARD TRUSTEE. SHORTLY BEFORE 11 O'CLOCK LAST NIGHT A 1999 CHRYSLER CONCORD
CARRYING FOUR PEOPLE MISSED THIS LEFT HAND CURVE ON SUSSEX BLVD, CROSSED
SEVERAL LAWNS, AND THEN CRASHED INTO THIS HOUSE AT 671 SUSSEX. THE CAR HIT
THE GARAGE DOOR, CONTINUED THROUGH A WALL, THROUGH A SITTING ROOM,
DEMOLISHED A SET OF STAIRS AND ENDED UP NOSE DOWN IN THE BASEMENT. GERRIE
MILLER, A 64 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO LIVED IN THE HOME, WAS IN THE SITTING ROOM.
IN A BIZARRE TWIST OF FATE, SHE WAS KILLED WHEN THE CAR CAME CRASHING
THROUGH THE WALL. HER HUSBAND WAS NOT INJURED. THE CAR HAD THREADED A
NEEDLE, DOWN THE STREET, BETWEEN A PARKED VAN, A TREE, AND A CAR PARKED IN
MILLER'S DRIVEWAY.

Have no use for people who drink and drive!

And that makes us bent how?

I think most of us have no problem with drinking. It is just the mode
of transportation afterwards. Enjoy yourself. have a drink. BUT stay
away from the driver's seat.

I wonder if this senseless tragedy will have a negative impact on
business

Does anyone know if there was video footage of this anywhere? I am
developing a, interactive CD-ROM for teens teaching them about the
horrors of drinking and driving - I am using Shock value to drive the
message home - this falls into the category
Thanks

Contact CKWS and explain to them what you are doing and they might help you.
The only problem that I see is that the video footage would be the property
of CKWS so you would need their permission to use it.

What the hell does this mean? To make this accusation you must have been
there. Drinking and driving is inexcusable, when convicted, they should go
to jail, then their license should be suspended for years (until the
individual can prove that he/she does not drink anymore) if not
indefinatley. When I go out, I leave my car at home and take a cab.

I was in my local pharmacy a few days after the accident. I overheard a
fellow customer say "that family may as well close up shop in this town."

From what I can gather, that pretty much sums it up.

Roy coleman changed my life at a young age, he was a big man with a bigger heart. He took care of me when i didn't even know who i was, because i was just a kid in his school, now in my 30s, i look back and think of how awesome he was and always will be in my heart.
