There is not much written about the King's Gambit so I was just
wondering about what books you have found useful studying to learn the
King's Gambit.

I like The Fascinating King's Gambit myself.

The King's Gambit: A Modern View of a Swashbuckling Opening by Neil
McDonald is pretty bad in that the author does not even play KG.

The King's Gambit as White is good too, but it suggests that one plays
3. Nf3 instead of 3. Bc4.

I think GM Joe Galheger ,(I hope its  spelled  right ) book suposed to be a reference. If not N.Short got intresting games with the KG.  I think there is also a book of Bangiev that is available on p2p.

I think you are talking about Winning with the Kings Gambit. It is a
little too old, and it only covers 3. Nf3 so it cannot be the
reference. But I will look into it. Thanks :)

Personally I have found the 3. Bc4 variations to be much more
interesting.

Thanks. I really would like more references on the 3. Bc4 variation.
It is much more interesting. :)

Qh4+ is really a poor move by Black and even though White can't castle
he gets a very good position. Check out the The Fascinating King's
Gambit. The problem with Nf3 is that in the Kieseritzky Gambit Black
has some drawing lines that cause a lot of problems for White.
