There have been dictations in the Qur’an Shareef, “You assist each other in virtuous and Allah-fearing acts”. Allah Pak further Dictates, “If You do remember Me, I will also Remember you”. There were circulars in th...e Saudi news media about introducing the clock at Makkah Shareef Tower as an alternative to GMT. Only circulations will not do the work; implementations are required as well. It is to be remembered that before commencing KMT, the ‘Prime Meridian’ should first be fixed along Ka’aba Shareef.
After setting up the world’s largest clock in the Makkah Shareef Tower, there came a headline news in the Daily Arab News of 10th August, 2010, Tuesday with the caption as ‘Makkah Time: a new alternative for GMT’. Therefore, it must be implemented as soon as possible. But sadly, now the time which is running in the clocks upon the various parts of the Tower is based on GMT timings!”
In fact, the Saudi government does not know how to set the clock of the Makkah Shareef tower as an alternative to GMT. What they should do is to consult with those who are experienced on the subject and go for introducing KMT instead of GMT as soon as possible.
We should always remember Allah Pak. But for determining the time of everyday, people, particularly the Muslims, have to remember Greenwich of the kaafir instead of Ka’aba Shareef. Na’woozubillah! But in remembering Allah Pak and the Ka’aba Shareef, the Sacred home, Saudi government can offer the maximum assistance to the global Muslims since the Sacred Makkah Shareef is situated in Saudi Arabia itself. With the consent of all Muslim countries of the world, it would be appropriate on the part of Saudi government to fix the ‘prime meridian’ along the Ka’aba Shareef. Whether the kaafir would follow it or not is up to them but the Muslims must demonstrate determination on that.
Many so called Muslims, being unable to conceive the issue of introducing KMT instead of GMT call it unnecessary, complicated and meaningless. Na’woozubillah! But, KMT must be established to follow the orders of Allah Pak. Allah Pak Says, “You do remember Allah Pak”. But when we fix up our time according to GMT, we intentionally or unintentionally remember the kaafir because the GMT is fixed according to the Greenwich of the Kaafir. Na’woo’zubillah!”
The prime meridian conference was first held in 1884. Muslims are never bound to abide by that decision ever. Muslims should take decisions on these issues as per Shari’ah. It has become Far’d for the Muslims of all time to fix up the prime meridian over Ka’aba Shareef and then determine the time-zones of the world according to the time of Makkah Shareef. The Saudi government must play a vital role in this issue.
