I even bought the Numark mixmeister controller, which is hard to find these days and did some live mixing but it was too limiting in terms of the software flexibility for me and too unstable. So I moved into Virtual DJ, then Djay for Mac, and now I switch between Serato and Traktor with the occasional Djay Pro for simple parties.
I use Mediaplayers and a mixer, mixmeister is good for a radioshow or a mixtape in the car. But its not a dj program, sorry, but thats just the facts, a dj should mix with the tools that are ment for djn, not drag loops and push buttons. software kills the industry, you want a hint just look at Ebay and other sites that sell used equipment. so many dreams that never will come true, and so much money spent for no use!
