I made an adjustment to my arrival patterns, and now my simulation won't run. I click run and nothing happens. It just seems to be frozen and I can't do anything. I've attached my model. I don't know if it's a bug or something else, but any help I can get would be great.same-day-surgery-model-7-29-16-no-specials.fsm

Power supplies are the backbone of the electrified world. Converter requirements, advancements in semiconductor devices, magnetics, topologies, and control techniques require dynamic, accurate, and purpose-built power electronics simulation tools.

The motor control design suite allows non-experts and experts to quickly get a fully defined motor drive working. This can be easily modified and integrated into bigger system simulations to understand the impact of a real motor drive on system efficiency and performance. We also introduce how to use Altair Activate to link PSIM with other solvers from Altair (like MotionSolve) to provide more realistic mechanical models.

- Utilize Scripting Automation to define different simulation attributes and compile interpreted results. This could save you days of back and forth with your colleagues and many hours of manual simulation setup.

PSIM is an Electronic circuit simulation software package, designed specifically for use in power electronics and motor drive simulations but can be used to simulate any electronic circuit. Developed by Powersim, PSIM uses nodal analysis and the trapezoidal rule integration[2] as the basis of its simulation algorithm. PSIM provides a schematic capture interface and a waveform viewer Simview. PSIM has several modules that extend its functionality into specific areas of circuit simulation and design including: control theory,[3] electric motors,[4] photovoltaics[5] and wind turbines[6] PSIM is used by industry for research and product development and it is used by educational institutions for research and teaching[7] and was acquired by Altair Engineering in March 2022.[8]

PSIM has various add on modules, the full list and their descriptions can be found on the Powersim website. There are modules that enable motor drive simulation, digital control, and the calculation of thermal losses due to switching and conduction.[9] There is a renewable energy module which allows for the simulation of photovoltaics (including temperature effects), batteries, supercapacitor, and wind turbines. Additionally there are several modules which allow co-simulation with other platforms to verify VHDL or Verilog code or to co simulate with an FEA program. The programs that PSIM currently co-simulates with are: Simulink, JMAG, and ModelSim.

PSIM has a much faster simulation speed than SPICE based simulators based on its usage of the ideal switch. With the additional Digital and SimCoupler Modules almost any kind of logic algorithm can be simulated. Since PSIM uses ideal switches the simulated waveforms will reflect this, making PSIM more suited for system level studies rather than switching transition studies. Additionally, PSIM has a simplified interface compared to other simulators and as a result has a more intuitive interface.[10][11]

MOSFET and Diode Level 2 models were added in the version 10 release. These models allow the simulation of the switch transition, reverse recovery effects, and gate drive circuitry.[12] A comparison with a PSIM & SPICE model of the same device showed similar resulting waveforms with a comparable simulation speed given identical operating conditions.[13] PowerSim recently partnered with CoolCAD Electronics to add CoolSPICE, a SPICE based integrated circuit modeling and design tool, as a bundle option for the PSIM software package.[14] The advantage being that PSIM would then have the flexibility to be able to run SPICE based models and net-lists.

There are various licensing options available for PSIM. There is a free demo version which does not expire but is limited in component count and allowed circuit complexity. The standard/student version allows for the simulation of less complex circuits for a reduced cost. PowerSim does have educational licensing options, some are free, for institutions to address simulation requirements for research and for teaching.

The motor control design suite allows non-experts and experts to quickly get a fully defined motor drive working. This can be easily modified and integrated into bigger system simulations to understand the impact of a real motor drive on system efficiency and performance.

PSIM Simulation Tool is One of the fast simulators for power electronics simulation is known as PSIM. Excellent simulation accuracy is retained by this fast simulation, which is achieved by PSIM. Particularly the simulating converter systems efficient in any size, and also performing the multiple-cycle simulation.

The engine of the simulation environment is defined as PSIM. The strong algorithm dedicates to electrical circuits (piecewise method, generic models, and a fixed time-step) used by PSIM Simulation Tool. Significant, the design cycle is short the fast simulation, which allows repetitive simulation runs.

In Simview, the simulation results display and are also evaluated. The multiple screens and line styles are provided by the various waveform processing functions. Such as addition/subtraction and also average/rms value define as the post-processing functions which provide the calculation also.

The GUI or different client (putty, Linux telnet) can also be used o include Telnet client. In a virtual network (like Wire shark), the GUI is designed to capture and also display packets. The real network can connect virtual networks.

The stand-alone software package is defined as PSIM Simulation tool, which is a unique Pneumatic and Electro-Pneumatic cross sectional simulation software and also can work as an add-on to the LSM Automation Training package.

I think its depends of -/issues/2119 and a full definition of how interact with this model files. For example, PSIM (a power electronic simulator) defines that the DLL linked to a symbol must have standard functions names called on: simulation start, simulation step and simulation end.

In the past I played a bit around with the Proteus demo, and implementing the simulation capabilities into KiCad would be a real game changer. For example, you can simulate a PIC connected to a touchscreen (and a loudspeaker) running chess on it.

I tried this project, and it is really nice. I think this is the most comparable OSS solution to Proteus. It uses AVRSim and GPSim in the backend, with apparently some custom written circuit simulation.

Best visual simulation program I play with is falstads circuit simulator, howerver for things like simulation a full blown microcontroller you need a very accurate model of its internals, Or is it closer to you want to cheat, just having a way to say script a sequence on the output / input pins and simulate /log it.,

Engineers are using MATLAB, PSPICE and PSIM software tools for their circuit simulation in power electronics circuits. In this article rectifier and inverter circuits simulation were performed in the MATLAB, PSPICE and PSIM environment and anlysed the comparison results. Rectifier and inverter are the power electronic circuits which were highly used in all power supply units. The paper explains the theoretical approach of these circuits and then the simulation results are given in order to show the effectiveness of the system in the simulation arena.

MATLAB is numeric computation software for engineering and scientific calculations. MATLAB is being used for circuit theory, filter design, random processes, control systems and communication theory. MATLAB matrix functions are shown to be versatile in doing analysis of data obtained from electronics experiments. The graphical features of MATLAB are especially useful for display of frequency response of amplifiers and illustrating the principles and concepts of semiconductor physics. The interactive programming and versatile graphics of MATLAB is especially effective in exploring some of the characteristics of devices and electronic circuits. PSIM is simulation software specifically designed for power electronics and motor drives. With fast simulation and friendly user interface, PSIM provides a powerful simulation environment for power electronics, analog and digital control, magnetics, and motor drive system studies. Powersim develops and markets leading simulation and design tools for research and product development in power supplies, motor drives and power conversion and control systems. SPICE is an acronym for Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis and was inspired by the need to accurately model devices used in integrated circuit design. It has now become the standard computer program for electrical and electronic simulation. The majority of commercial packages are based on SPICE2 version G6 from the University of California at Berkeley although development has now progressed to SPICE3. The increased utilization of PCs has led to the production of PSPICE, a widely available PC version distributed by the MicroSim Corporation whilst HSPICE from Meta-Software has been popular for workstations and is now also available for the PC. One of the reasons for the popularity of Pspice is the availability and the capability to share its evaluation version freely at no cost. This evaluation version is very powerful for power electronics simulations.

In this topology, the output voltage Vo must be higher than the peak value of the ac source voltage vs in order to ensure proper control of the input current. The input voltage value Vs= 200v, switching frequency is 1KHz. After simulation the output voltage and current wave form with resistive load is shown in fig. 8. In this wave harmonics are presence.

PSPICE based simulation for full bridge rectifier is shown in Fig.11. The corresponding input and output voltage waveforms are shown in Figs. 12 and 13 respectively. The circuit specifications are input AC Voltage=20V, frequency=50Hz and load resistor=100Ω.
