When four teenagers in detention discover an old video game console with a game they've never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game's jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars. What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji -Jumanji plays you. They'll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, or they'll be stuck in the game forever.

I recently watched Jumanji Welcome to the jungle and it bothered me how the players kept their memories of the game despite the original showing only Alan and Sarah* keeping their memories. It goes so far as to show the kids not recognizing the adults when they finally "actually" meet after the game ends. I suggest a simple reason for the change:

JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE (also known as JUMANJI 2) is anupcoming American fantasy adventure film, directed by Jake Kasdan andwritten by Scott Rosenberg. Like the original, this new Jumanji is full of jungle animals, and one of the most intensive sequences involves a stampede of albino rhinos which come perilously close to stomping on the main characters while they fly low through a canyon in a helicopter. VFX Voice asked Visual Effects Supervisor Jerome Chen how that sequence was made.

Spencer (Dwayne Johnson), Martha (Karen Gillan), Fridge (Kevin Hart), Bethany (Jack Black), and Alex (Nick Jonas) journey through the jungle, following a trail that takes them deeper into the heart of the mystical game world. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, traps, and challenges but persevere to reach the jaguar statue. As they navigate the treacherous terrain, the group comes face-to-face with real jaguar guards who protect the statue.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle takes viewers on a thrilling and comedic adventure through captivating locations. From the lush jungles of Kualoa Ranch to the bustling streets of Atlanta, the film's diverse settings create a visually stunning backdrop.

The first poster establishes the setting and the danger by showing four characters seen only from afar as they fall down a massive ravine in the middle of a jungle, a huge statue/temple in the background.

That same temple is seen in the background of the next two posters, which assemble the cast in front of the camera as various huge animals and the occasional helicopter walk or fly through the jungle behind them.
