This one truly RAWKS!
Tob is one of the principal contributors to the RMX Core Library, so he knows it like the back of his hand. His friend Daniel Forsblom's killer guitar work is one of the highlights of this track.
FEATURES: Stylus RMX, Trilian and Live Guitar
This is an instant classic that really shows off what's possible with the sound menus of the RMX Core Library. EVERYTHING except bass and synth lead are coming from RMX!
FEATURES: Stylus RMX and Trilian

This is a very live and loose sounding track from Guitarist Larry Mitchell. One of the coolest things about this track is that the Trilian Bass parts were played by Larry on his MIDI Guitar, which really makes a big difference in the realism of those bass parts. All of the drums are coming from the Retro Funk SAGE Xpander. Good example of how Retro Funk is very useful for Rock stylus too.
FEATURES: Trilian, Stylus RMX, Retro Funk, Omnisphere and Live Guitar
This is great example of what is possible using RMX as a sound module. Everything in this demo was programmed from scratch using Kit mode and the extensive variety of over 10,000 single hit samples in the Sound Menus section.
In fact, the first half of the demo is ONLY using Stylus RMX Core Library sounds....even the Bass scratching, Guitar and Brass sounds!
FEATURES: Stylus RMX, Trilian and Ivory piano
DJ Hawk (aka: Adam Hawk from Spectrasonics) is a talented Turntablist and his performance samples are featured in the sound menus of the RMX Core Library. In this memorable track, he's making great use of RMX's awesome built-in FX rack.
FEATURES: Stylus RMX, Trilian and Omnisphere
The opening Guitar riff on this track is actually coming out of RMX! Mike played the riff on Guitar and then ReCycled the phrase, which creates a REX file that RMX can use. This is a good example of how a little bit of customization can add a lot to an RMX track....especially being able to use the Chaos Designer on the guitar!
FEATURES: Stylus RMX, Trilian, Omnisphere and custom guitar loop
This track has a great laidback vibe to it. Larry's production style is as organic as his wonderful playing. The track opens with Omnisphere and some SAGE converted REX files from an M-Audio REX library called "Tabla Science" and then adds drums from the Backbeat Xpander. More MIDI Guitar played Trilian too!
FEATURES: Stylus RMX, Backbeat, Omnisphere, Trilian and Live Guitar
This one's pretty wicked! Diego starts with showing some of the tonal capability of RMX in the first half of the demo. The break introduces Omnisphere and a drum groove from the Backbeat Xpander. Believe it or not, the vocals are from RMX!!
FEATURES: Omnisphere and Stylus RMX
Not only is this demo using only the Stylus RMX core library, but Stephane is performing this all LIVE using the powerful Groove Menus feature. Note the interesting use of the Half speed browsing feature at the end of the demo.
This one really sounds like a live band! Hans puts the Chaos Designer to effective use on the main drum groove and percussion from the Core Library. Horns are from the old Prosonus library, the vocal phrase is by Tommy Snyder and the Flute solo was played by Makinto....everything else is Spectrasonics!
FEATURES: Stylus RMX, Trilian and Omnisphere
This is a perfect demo to check out if you're interesting in hearing how RMX fits in a scoring setting. Great use of Omnisphere's Hollywood Strings too. Prepare for some serious low-end!
FEATURES: Omnisphere and Stylus RMX
Eclectic demo that shows many different parts of the Stylus RMX core library in a "soundtrack remix" approach. The sliced vocal riff from "Motion Century" is a frequent favorite.
FEATURES: 100% Stylus RMX
This is a wonderful example of how RMX can sound really unexpected when using SAGE Xpanders! The Rainstick is coming from Heart of Africa through ReCycle, but everything is core library and Ethno Techno. The big chords are from the Bonus ILIO library on their SAGE Xpanders.
FEATURES: Stylus RMX and Ethno Techno SAGE Xpander
Under the Radar (aka: Richard Souther) does some very smoky and cool riffing here with the Classic part of the RMX core library. Also featured are some phrase samples from E-Lab's Smoking Lounge REX library in RMX.
FEATURES: Stylus RMX, REX libraries, Trilian, Vocal Planet & EVP88
Ned came up with a wonderful musical journey using only RMX Core Library and tuning the resonance of the Power Filters and Pro Phaser to achieve some harmonic percussion! Cool stuff!
FEATURES: 100% Stylus RMX
Very creative use of the RMX core library (including the deep bass!) and some REX'ed snare fills from BT's Breaks library. The Backbeat SAGE Xpander makes it's entrace towards the end.
FEATURES: Stylus RMX, Backbeat SAGE Xpander, Bass Legends, Hans Zimmer Guitars and Atmosphere
The Classic part of the RMX core library has many great vinylistic breaks. This track features them along with the Backbeat SAGE Xpander which appears midway though the demo. More E-Lab Smoking Lound library used in RMX too! Infinite Xpansion possibilities!
FEATURES: Stylus RMX, Trilian and Backbeat SAGE Xpander
This track only features a single RMX loop fromt he classic part of the Core Library, but it's such a great Chill Out experience we just had to include it!
FEATURES: Stylus RMX, Omnisphere and custom samples
This is an experimental demo, to show how Chaos can be used to "rearrange" melodic phrases in real-time! This trumpet solo is from E-Lab's Smoking Lounge REX library...it's amazing how live RMX makes it sound like the trumpet player is jamming along with the loops!
FEATURES: Stylus RMX and Liquid Grooves SAGE Xpander
One of the great things about Stylus RMX is that everything is in tempo and in perfect sync, so you can very quickly layer many grooves together in real-time....creating a dense tapestry of building tension like Gabe demonstrates in this cue.
FEATURES: 100% Stylus RMX
A very clever completely live performed demo using only grooves from the RMX core library. Stephane is using the Favorites and Groove Menu systems to pull this off all on a single MIDI channel!
FEATURES: 100% Stylus RMX
How often do you get to have a demo from another developer? This killer track was kindly submitted by none other than Mr. Bitshift himself (creator of the fine pHATmatik Pro, and an in-demand remixer/producer), taking Stylus RMX down an intense hardcore path. The mono synth sounds are coming from the Wine Country/Sequential Pro One softsynth in Pulsar, and the pad and noise effect is from the Pentagon one. Stutter edits were done post-mixdown in Wavelab. An excellent example of how Stylus RMX sounds in a more "pumped-up" context.....thanks Art!
Check out how Diego is using the Pitch Envelopes with inverted filter modulation to change his intro grooves into this odd "breathing beat"...very cool! Also amazing is that all other sounds are coming from very creative ways of using Trilogy. Lots of peppy fun....and very much like Diego's personality too.
:o)
FEATURES: 100% Stylus RMX and Trilian
An amazing journey through the dark corners in the mind of "master of moodiness" -jdg. Very creative work here with Stylus RMX holding down the foundation, while jdg does wild processing of his vinyl crate through plug-ins to create the overall mood. Evokes strong imagery, but it's up to you to decide whether it's a good dream or a nightmare....maybe a little of both?
FEATURES: Stylus RMX and Vinyl LP processed textures
Oskar really shows off how great Stylus RMX can be in a latin setting -especially when you know what your doing as a percussion programmer! It's pretty amazing what he pulls off here....the percussion solos and grooves were all created with the Stylus RMX percussion one-shot samples. Enjoy, and if you ever get a chance to catch Oskar's band "Cartaya and the Enclave", don't miss it...muy caliente!
FEATURES: Stylus RMX Drums and Perc with hardware synth modules.
East Coast remixer "MOWO!" (aka Adam Dorn) contributed this demo to show how fast a dance track can be created...this one was almost done in real-time! This first section features a killer "live scratch dj battle simulation", which Adam achieved by performing wildly from a MIDI keyboard with Stylus RMX scratch menus. The second half features some synths from Atmosphere and a more "housey" feel.
FEATURES: 100% Stylus RMX and Omnisphere
This is a killer example of how close you can get to sounding like a mad turntablist with nothing but Stylus RMX, a MIDI Keyboard and a Sequencer. Ned goes nuts here with a huge variety of Scratch techniques and sounds from the Turntable sound menus. It's also a clever example of how Groove Control allows seamless beat mixing and matching of the Stylus RMX grooves that can follow tempo changes in your host sequencer.
FEATURES: Stylus RMX and Omnisphere
This is a cool and vibey end-user demo that we discovered over at KvR-VST.com. Inspired by David Lynch's film Mulholland Drive, jdg sets a dark and brooding mood, with Stylus RMX in full chill mode. The vinyl vibe of the Grooves and the real-time fills he adds really sets the tone and propels the track through interesting changes with the evolving filter sweeps in Stylus RMX. The other sounds in the demo come from Native Instruments' Kontakt and Absynth.
This is the demo that we get the most "how did he do that?" questions about. Basically, it was a two man operation. Bob sequenced the uptempo Jazzy track....then EP went to work on it, adding more Stylus RMX parts, using the RMX LFOs for heavy filtering and panning tricks and adding the heavily effected Trilogy Bass part. The real fun then came in the 2-track editing process, with EP doing hundreds of "Squarepusher Razor-blade" edits in Bias Peak, muting beats. Reversing beats and chopping it up to add stutter FX in the mastering. It took some time...but was a lot of fun and it makes for a real "head-turner" of a demo track!
