The only problem is I can't work out how to get Text To Speech Installed on the Android. In the Android setup under settings Voice input and output TTS settings Install voice data is blanked out. Where normally the one installed in IG primo would show up there. On the SD card I have the two TTS files installed in the iGO Content voice folder.
My android had PICO TTS From android settings Install voice data Google play Speech Synthesis Data Installer (Android TextToSSpeech) Installing voice data on SD Card (from google play) Picco TTS Settings says English (US and UK), French, Italy Germany & Spain installed. Listen to an example in android setting works fine for test. Just that when I go to Sound and Warning settings Voice language IGO Primo. No TTS voices shows up.
Are there setting in IGO SYS.TXT or other places that need to be enabled? There can be many reasons why the voices won't show up. If the details in the info.ini file within the voices.zip file are not correct then the voice may not show up. Try the following: Make the following changes in TTSvoice.zip info.ini ttslangname='eng' ttsengine='Android TTS' Then see if the TTS voice will show up. Make sure you have a backup before modifying the.zip file.
Though the brainchild of Cacchione, curator of Global Contemporary Art, and Mehring, Multitudes was developed in collaboration with a wide swath of the UChicago community. More than 50 faculty, staff, students and alumni contributed their writing, art and sometimes literal voices to the exhibition.
The writing is dense, constantly footnoted, and liberally sprinkled with long quotations from primary sources. The voice of the practicing executive is rarely heard, and the complexities of managing a large organization are never elaborated with the richness or nuance of Dr. Brotherton's exposition of social science theory.
In practice, however, compulsory disclosure laws lead to outcomes very different from these claimed intentions. A 2013 study found that disclosure causes small donors to both be less willing to donate and to donate in smaller amounts to avoid having their personal information forcibly disclosed to the public.[2] Additionally, the study found that these effects are strongest among citizens with personal networks that expose them to different views and weakest among citizens surrounded by people with like-minded views, suggesting that disclosure requirements bolster the voice of some while silencing the voices of others.[3]
It is rare for disclosure data to be used carefully, in proper context, and with opportunities for different voices to give their view. The true effect of disclosure is often to accelerate a partisan arms race of smear attacks on opposing candidates, organizations, and donors. Rather than hold people accountable, disclosure chills speech and facilitates ad hominem insults and attacks. Rather than inform the public, disclosure affords anti-speech activists the opportunity to sensationalize and mislead. In light of this reality, existing campaign finance disclosure regulations and arguments for increased disclosure requirements should be viewed with renewed skepticism.
