No game is perfect though and here's the moment where I talk about the negatives. The major one I found is that the game never really tells you were to go. Or, rather, where I *shouldn't* go. Rain World's map easily competes with Hollow Knight's in terms of size, it also even feels bigger, but because the world is so open with no clear direction, it's easy to reach the final area of the game before something tells you "you shouldn't be here yet." I greatly appreciate the game never holding my hand, but I definitely wish this part was clearer from the start. Unpredictable roadblocks are frustrating in any exploration game, and the backtracking journeys here are exceptionally long. With no upgrades to our little slugcat, the only real way to progress is by finding another entrance. I don't recommend looking at guides, but be prepared for this.
