Karan Malhotra is a spirited and happy-go-lucky boy who does not follow the rules. Sana is the opposite of Karan: a sweet and shy girl who lives life by the rules. Even though they are completely opposite, they fall in love, leading to a magical love story.[3]
A scientist, Dr. Yatinder Khanna, has dedicated 15 years of his life in building a time machine. Sana expresses a wish to time-travel to Mumbai in the year 2050, but she is killed in an accident before her marriage to Karan. Karan wishes to travel back in time and find Sana. Dr. Yatinder, Karan, and Sana's siblings, Rahul and Thea, travel forward in time and reach Mumbai in 2050. They are fascinated by the futuristic Mumbai, with its flying cars, holograms, robots, 200-story buildings and more.
Twists and turns lead to the introduction of Ziesha, the reincarnation of Sana. Ziesha is a popular singer in 2050 who does not remember her past life, but gets flashbacks of it after meeting Karan. Unlike Sana, Ziesha is an arrogant, headstrong and rebellious girl who does not believe in love. She leads a lonely life after the death of her parents, which has embittered her.
The film draws on the story of the 1991 Telugu film Aditya 369; while the Telugu film deals with travel to the past as well as dystopian post-apocalyptic future, Love Story 2050 is exclusively about travelling to a utopian future-city of Mumbai in the year 2050. It is Bollywood's first utopian time travel film.
Love Story 2050

You can literally imagine the robots dancing when the song Milo Na Milo begins. The song takes off with the conversation between a couple that prepares you for the magic ahead. The male voice is in search of love and the female voice playfully explains that - Hamari duniya mein pyaar vyaar nahi hota.
Meelon Ka takes you into a dream world that reinforces the power of love and emotions. Javed's profound lyrics and KK's hearty rendition set the perfect mood. Alka Yagnik's voice is considered the best for soft romantic songs and she has done justice to this song as well. The song is sure to be a chartbuster.
Given a title like LOVE STORY 2050, the film ought to evoke strong emotions, mainly towards the second hour, when the lead man has a tough time convincing his lady-love. But technical wizardry and VFX dominate this hour, while the emotional moments fail to evoke any reactions. Actually, your heart does not pine for the lovers and that's why this love story hardly creates any impact.
Mumbai 2050. Flying cars, 200 storey buildings, robots and sky rails have changed the face of Mumbai. Through a series of twists and turns, Karan finds himself separating from his love. Meanwhile, Dr. Yatinder and Karan are under threat from Dr. Hoshi.
If you notice, Sophie 2050 has not referred to Sid's name at all. Aaaand when she is telling the story about Jesse and her young self kissing under the rain and she stops because too much water goes into her mouth and her son says " I thought you said it was the perfect kiss. " and she replies " Oh it was!" as she is thinking about it, and the scene where she says that " We decided to take it slow," and we see Jesse and Sophie sleeping together, both the lines could been for Sophie and Sid as the father. Not necessarily for Jesse and Sophie. In an other episode she said she was talking about an other story when her son comments " Dad wasn't even in that story". So, it is not unlikely to do that a lot in order to confuse us or make us think.
Two Bobbies. 12min. Nutmeg Media. Ages 6-9.
Narrated by the authors Kirby Larson and Mary Nethery, this iconographic friendship story between a cat and a dog is based on an actual case following Hurricane Katrina. Their devotion and love keep the two friends alive until they find a stable home.
DOMONOSKE: And I'm working on this story about Maersk, so that's a shipping giant. So maybe most people don't pay a lot of attention to how things cross the oceans, but Maersk is the biggest container-shipping company in the world. They have hundreds of ships that are just crossing the oceans all the time. And Maersk made this really bold commitment to cut all of their carbon use - to go carbon neutral by 2050.
SANDERS: I am having us talk about breakup songs because I recently did a whole story about my favorite breakup song. It is this wonderful uptempo dance track by the Swedish star Robyn. It's called "Dancing On My Own." And I love this song because it's a song about breakup and loss and loneliness and heartache, but it sounds really, really fun. And it is a really, really fun, danceable song.
So I did a whole piece for NPR's American Anthem series about this song. So this series is this ongoing look at songs from all decades that NPR folks find anthemic. And Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" was my pick. And because I host a show, I'm going to play my story and let y'all hear me sing the praises of Robyn's "Dancing On My Own."
SANDERS: Somebody said you got a new friend. Does she love you better than I can? That's a breakup song. Nate Sloan says that puts "Dancing On My Own" right up there with a bunch of other classic sad songs that sound happy.
SANDERS: All right. That story first aired on NPR's Morning Edition. And you can check out the entire NPR American Anthem series at npr.org. It's got stories on all kinds of songs from "The Battle Hymn Of The Republic" to "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Check it out. All right. It's time for a break. When we come back, we'll keep dancing with my favorite game, Who Said That? You're listening to IT'S BEEN A MINUTE from NPR. We'll be right back.
