The FaxConnectFaxServer function connects a fax client application to the local fax server. The function returns a fax server handle that is required to call other fax client functions that facilitate job, device, configuration, and document management.

The fax client application must call the FaxClose function to disconnect from the fax server and deallocate the handle that the FaxConnectFaxServer function returns. For more information, see Connecting to the Fax Server and Disconnecting from a Fax Server.

The winfax.h header defines FaxConnectFaxServer as an alias which automatically selects the ANSI or Unicode version of this function based on the definition of the UNICODE preprocessor constant. Mixing usage of the encoding-neutral alias with code that not encoding-neutral can lead to mismatches that result in compilation or runtime errors. For more information, see Conventions for Function Prototypes.

I spent too much of yesterday trying to install Symantec WinFux WinFax Pro 10.03 which, upon looking to the Web for help, I discovered is the biggest piece of unstable dog crap software ever to reach a double digit rev number.

I currently have winfax pro 10.02 and would like to upgrade to 10.03 and then to 10.04.
This program has been a pain since I have upgraded my computer. I am running XP pro.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Errors related to winfax.dll can arise for a few different different reasons. For instance, a faulty application, winfax.dll has been deleted or misplaced, corrupted by malicious software present on your PC or a damaged Windows registry.

In the vast majority of cases, the solution is to properly reinstall winfax.dll on your PC, to the Windows system folder. Alternatively, some programs, notably PC games, require that the DLL file is placed in the game/application installation folder.

Every printer prints with out problems just the winfax printers are broken. I did uninstall everything and the drivers and no luck something is still left behind I checked the print server prep and the printer is not listed and in the reg its not listed. I just not sure what else to check to get everything from that printer off.
