I would most definitely reset your office account password pre-hand. if you open office and click on account it will show you which account it is activated via, you can then reset the password for that account and access your Microsoft account.Warning: repairing office may trigger it to have you reactivate office.

The attention my home office has received is quite stunning and way more than I would have expected. I desperately need to recognise the Excel version of several users, and most importantly identify those with Office365 which was giving some trouble with parts of my VBA code and came accross your post.
Shouldn't there be a way to determine the exact Office version of post 2016 office (all giving 16.0 response to application.version function) by iqnuiring the application.build number without the need to look for registry entries ?!
Do we have to worry about our addins?
