Slam Poetry and Hip Hop were friends, once. When they were little they toddled around the playground in their respective Baby Badass Doc Martens and Tiny Tot Nike Air Force Onesies.
Slam Poetry and Hip Hop are coming together again, this time for one epic night of fierce language fireplay at Downtown Santa Cruz's very own CATALYST ATRIUM.
Tomorrow night, on Thursday, January 10th, UCSC Hip Hop and Slam Poetry join forces. You, too, can be a part of the hottest "first" of the quarter- tickets are only FIVE DOLLARS, and with CA$H PRIZES (oh my gosh!) to the winning performers, how can you lose? Sign ups @ 8:30, Show @ 9 PM. Sign ups are open all the way, whether you're the next big rap star or poetic prince/princess. Bring it on!
When: Thursday, January 10. 8:30 Signups, 9:00 Show.
