Greetings You Sick Delinquents-

It has been quite a while, I know. We were summering in the Bahamas
with our former mentor, Wes Anthony. However, after a few failed gigs
on the remote Island of St. Hoggs, we decided to pack things up and
head back North. We weren't really shooting for a return to the
coastal fog of Santa Cruz, but hey, sometimes you kick the tires and
light the fires, and when she--and by she I mean our twin prop. Sesna,
Alberta--hits the red line of the fuel gauge, ya got to pull it in and
pack it in.

We had only been here about three days into the New Year when a
beautiful little birdy shot us a call. She said that some other guy
said, that there was a place that wanted something to do with our
kind, and that some other guy said we were malnourished enough to take
the offer. (It was true.) We had a meeting, we talked about life, and
we drank Guinness...a lot of Guinness. The final spit mark period on
the conversation was a handshake that said, "Hey, you poor bastards
have a new home!"

So we here at the Norris Buckman Institute of Life would like to
invite you to the illustrious return of,

The LEGENDARY Santa Cruz Poetry Slam!
This SUNDAY FEBRUARY 24th at THE POET AND THE PATRIOT!
(Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of Every Month)

Things are going to be a little different from our old E3 days, but we
are going to try and make it work.

New Stuff to Know:

1. 10 poets (We are going to keep this short and to the point)
2. One FREE beer to each poet that reads.
3. 21 + (We wish it wasn't so, but since the Poet is not an "eatery"
they can't have minors inside. We morn our underage poets and poetry
lovers...we shall find a way).
4. NO COVER (This means you cheapskates better come! And maybe kick a
little something in the Sabbath Tithing Box.)
5. STARTING AT 8!!!!! (If there are 30 of you or three of you we are
starting at 8.)

Old Stuff:

1. Poet get's 3min10sec for their poem.
2. 5 judges
3. Life
4. Sign ups at 7:30pm

So come on out and enjoy the evening. If you have never been to The
Poet then here is a beautiful chance to become acquainted. Shoot,
maybe we will all throw darts afterwards, or have a good old drunken
Irish brawl. Or sing-a-long?

Attached is the flyer...print it out, give it to one or two people, or
put it up at your place of employment. Spread the word.

Note: We are looking for a few dedicated souls to help get the word
out about this event. We are shooting for every 2nd and 4th Sunday, so
we need to get the word out.

Much Love My Little Minions,
Dr. Norris H. Buckman, PhD.
