Hi,

I have a good news to share with you guyz. Two days back Airtel rolled out its 3G services in mumbai and yesterday I was able to connect my Kindle 3G with the Airtel 3G network. There was significant increase in browsing speed.

Have fun.

Great to hear Jaspreet.

General question: Do you use the Kindle's wi-fi or 3G just to shop or do you also do general browsing?

Hi Jaspreet,

I at times enable 3G on my kindle but not sure as to which network it connects to. The. Signal indicator marks it as 'EDGE'. If it isn't too much to ask, can you please take a minute and explain me the procedure to connect to 3G.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Harish

Hi,

For those who are looking to try 3G on kindle, go the the settings page of Kindle and press Alt+EQQ i.e. Alt+311. Press the OK button and within a minute or two you will see a list of available networks on your Kindle with a tick sign against the network presently connected. Choose Airtel 3G (OR 404,92,2 (3G)) and it will take around a minute to connect.

Note once your kindle gets connected to 3G network you see 3G instead of EDGE on the upper right corner of your Kindle.

Regards,
Jaspreet
