Problem with Kindle for Mac

I'm having a problem with the Kindle for Mac that the Amazon support
team is aunable to address.

1. The Kinde for Mac will not connect to Amazon backend.
Error: Unable to connect

2. The Kindle for Mac will not deregister from Amazon
Same error as above.

3. When deleting all applications and residual data and reinstalling
from new download, old content is still present in the main screen
view despite having deleted it. Same two errors as above.

4. Amazon is now selling books in a format that is not supported by
hardware Kindles. I purchased one since there were zero Kindle
versions (only Kindle for Mac versions). Since my Kindle for Mac
application does not work, I cannot view the book purchased.


The support people have never owned nor worked with Mac so they have
no idea how to support them.
The only resolution was to refund my money and apologize.

Has anyone else seen this?
